I don't usually like much like it but

Damselfly - Loyle Carner on the Yesterday's Gone album

Any choice anticipated releases in 2017?

...

These are the albums I've loved so far.

>Stabscotch - Uncanny Valley
>William Basinski - A Shadow In Time
>Obasqiat - #Moebius
>(father) - Reflection
>Laster - Ons Vrije Fatum

dude that reflection album is excellent

I know I was in class listening to it and I was blown away. I haven't heard sample based music that well done in a while.

Waiting to find a link to Stellular, waiting on Xiu Xiu, Ty Segalls and Piano Magic

Xiu Xiu - Forget
Paul White - Everything You've Forgotten

>The new album Music to Draw to: Satellite takes its name from a series of events that Koala convened in Montréal and elsewhere, where he played slower-paced, less beat-oriented records and invited attendees to draw. In keeping with that idea, the album consists largely of compositions that blend ambient pop and post-rock, punctuated by electro-pop numbers that bubble without boiling over. Many of these songs are underpinned by languid basslines and glacial synth melodies assisted by Icelandic singer-songwriter Emilíana Torrini.

Piano Magic is out.

Well shit you're right, guess I don't have to wait any more

what's this reflection album? nothing shows up on google or rym.

Drab Majesty - The Demonstration
Pan Daijing - A Satin Sight

only releases so far I've enjoyed

My top 5 of 2017 so far:
1. Emptiness - Not for Music [85/100]
2. The Flight of Sleipnir - Skadi [80/100]
3. Traumhaus - Her Body in Ashes [80/100]
4. Grave Plague - The Infected Crypts [78/100]
5. Scath Na Deithe - Pledge Nothing but Flesh [77/100]

>[85/100]
>[80/100]

The dot hacker album is very good

While not a new release I've really enjoyed The Fragile [2017 Definitive Edition]-- it reignited a love I had for NIN.

I don't get Basinski. Most of his music sounds the same to me. What am I missing?

Keru Not Ever

Everything I have this year is from Jimmy

>Mack Enemy - CS1
>punk, noise rock
youtu.be/AN8WqQYdpYs

>DADAR - s/t
>garage rock
youtu.be/xjujaeXbMJo

>Hairspray Queen - Cassette
>post-punk, goth
youtu.be/aJtn6ZyaVAY

>good tier
New Xiu Xiu is gr8
Also Seance by Tangible Rays
Ariel Pink and Weyes Blood
>mediocre tier
Cloud Nothings, Ty Segall and Japandroids. All decent, with some really good songs, but none coming together as an 8/10 or better.

Eno's new one was pretty good, I'd give it a 7

>bad tier
Roppongo Four Covers. For fucks sake what a waste of twenty minutes that was.

Haven't heard Basinski yet.

David Bowie - No Plan [7.0]
The Flaming Lips - Oczy Mlody [6.8]
Foxygen - Hang [6.1]
Bonobo - Migration [5.8]
The xx - I See You [5.3]
Stabscotch - Uncanny Valley [5.1]
Wiley - Godfather [4.9]

Pretty boring year so far, though I haven't listened to a whole lot. I listened to the new Uniform album earlier today and it's actually probably my favorite so far, haven't put it on my list yet though.

pay extremely close attention, that's probably your best bet. its not really designed to be as commercial, quick and easy to consume as most stuff.

i am lissen this eno bum now
maybe i crazy but it seem like his best ambien after airport

thanqs for reqs my dudeq

Why are releases so easy to miss?

I suppose they're not especially similar but thats still kinda surprising that you hated Stabscotch so much if Uniforms your favorite. Its very dense so maybe give it another try sometime.

"Hate" is a bit strong for Stabscotch; I just thought it was mediocre. I was actually really disappointed because I thought there were a lot of cool sounds on the album, but the band didn't put a lot of effort into polishing them up into cohesive songs. Maybe that's the point but eh... The vocals and lyrics were a serious turn off though.

>William Basinski - A Shadow In Time
so who the fuck is Robert Jones?

nichardixon.bandcamp.com/album/there-she-goes-my-heart-again

Montie made an album, its pretty good actually. Ignore the rym score, some dudes rated it 0.5 as soon as it came out because REEEEE MONTIE

...Bowie?

oh shit thanks
