i listened to 45 seconds of heater and decided to download this -- i want to give it a full listen. reminds me of steve burns' solo albums
i can appreciate the multiinstrumentalism but its pretty boring imo sorry
nice to see youre still posting! i'd love to do another collab with you if youre ever down
the quality of this stuff has definitely improved since 2014
im gonna be blatantly honest i dont like this at all

these are cool (Also sorry if I forget to rec you in another thread I STILL LOVE U)
Thanks! The new stuff is coming along good too. I feel bad for asking but who are you? I don't recognize your name so I assume it's been changed at some point.
I'd be up for some more collab work though. I have a few tracks that could use more experienced hands.
oh hahaha i record under two names
i'm empty city on soundcloud
This is pretty cool so far, good work man. Listening as I write.
Things I like:
Cool vocal samples, I like the more mechanical percussive sounds (like if an industrial band was happy), and I think you did a good job of making it complex without overwhelming too much.
Things I don't like:
Could use more unity throughout, fusecake sounds like it's from elsewhere. More repeating motifs could work. The robot theme is broad, so specificity in the application would give it a stronger identity, perhaps.
It seems a little in-between worlds- not quite wild enough to stand up by strength of it's more experimental attributes, and not accessible enough to stand up by strength of it's pop sensibilities.
I think you should listen to more concept hip hop, and try a little harder. I won't score it since I didn't hear it all. But it's a really great effort. Next time you make something, come by the /daily/ threads and find me. I'd be really excited to hear what you do next, and give some feedback.
Good luck!
Recs:
Frank Zappa- burnt weeny sandwich

Oh of course! Soundcloud stopped letting me login a long time ago, no idea why. Then the same happened to gmail. Would you be interested in doing some parts for a few tracks?
yeah, sure! what's the best way to contact you?
Great! Your parts last time really helped finish off the album and I think they'll do great things for my new one.

Thanks for listening. I'm already a Zappa stan so that rec isn't necessary. Never heard a Mick Jenkins track ever though, might have to.
It's obvious I hear the cohesion in my project more than you have, then again you haven't finished it. From my perspective there is plenty of repeating motifs, the most obvious being what's listed in the description. All I can suggest is finishing it maybe.
Otherwise, thanks again for listening.

Thanks for checking out. Noise music is exactly like those abstract paintings, like spilling paint on the canvas. Not everyone enjoys looking at/listening to it (and it requires no talent :^))), but if you get the appeal then you're on a good way to soon appreciating it. Try noise rock bands.
You're starting to try too hard to be abstract and "experimental". I only liked Junction a bit so far.
I should check out your newer works
New album when?
It's great

The name speaks for itself. Melancholic and atmospheric.
Underrated noisecore.
Check these guys out if you're into the Gerogerigegege and hardcore punk influenced noizu. The high-pitched microphone feedback can get a bit irritating after a while though.
Keep it up my man
I don't know man. I don't see any fantasy in it. It's not psychedelic and "atmospheric" enough for those genres you just listed.
Duuuuuuude I'm fucking loving the cassette cover, holy shit! The music takes me back to top-down GTA territory, and the font on the cover only helps :)

Here. I'm glad you like the artwork/music. I'm giving your music a listen now. FIrst impression of "Part-Time Astronaut Blues" is that it would make a great soundtrack to an indie Metroidvania game. It's really good.
Just an offer, if you'd ever like me to design some artwork for you, drop me a message on Bandcamp. I'd be happy to. I love doing artwork for bands that I like.

>New album when?
I've unfortunately been stuck in California for 8 months and haven't had access to recording equipment or WI-FI. I've been coming up with riffs though and recording them on my phone and I'm supposed to be headed home in the beginning of March.
I've actually recorded a few songs with my iRig and some IOS synths but I can't upload them because, no WI-FI. But as soon as I'm home you can expect the album within like 3 months tops.
Hell yeah

Been listening to the web release of this album recently, it's got a lot going for it. The vocals sort of remind me of soul, but I can't really say that they are.
