I d-don't know ;_;

they

They don't like any music I play, they actively and immediately hate anything if they find out I like it. Same as my friends. Fuck the lot of 'em.

pretty much this

>dad takes off his hearing impairment stuff from his ears
>mum clenches teeth & smiles politely
>sis sighs and tells me to get a job

(almost exactly) This

Did you actually download the album from that one thread with the link or do you just have that pic? If you downloaded it give us a play by play.

>most difficult

what do you mean with difficult?

nah I'm too much of a coward to actually download and listen it

sorry

stop being difficult and answer the question

what is it?

the logical conclusion to music

archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/thread/S70456090#p70459436

Ow

Basically it is some kind of amateur Power Electronics record which features CP audio. It was created by some guy on another chan. Someone linked to an archived thread which had the mega link that the creator initially shared but pretty much no one wanted to download it due to legal concerns. The few who were bold enough to download it confirmed that it was actually CP, although they obviously couldn't tell if it was real or simulated based solely off of the audio. That's all I know thusfar.

>CP audio
lol what does that mean exactly? baby screams, man gruntings, etc this kind of stuff?

i dunno what my most difficult album even is
hours of drone?
distilled onkyo?
post-industrial post-grind?
harsh wall EAI?

chances are, they'd just leave in one minute and then ask me if i'm crazy when they return after it's over

Same. I got into noise for a bit (about a fucking decade ago, by the way), and now my whole family continues to give me shit every time they bring up music in conversation and ask me what I've been listening to lately. Over ten goddamn years since that time in my life, and they continue to bust my balls. Anytime I try to introduce them to something now it's like:
>lol it's not noise is it?
>hope this isn't that noise stuff
>please play something normal, please play something normal, hahaha just kidding lol

And then when I tell them it's not noise because that was 10 fucking years ago and people change, then play something I like now (like they asked me to do), there's the unending cavalcade of dumbass opinions:
>this isn't music, it's too angry to be music
>this doesn't have very upbeat lyrics..
>and you heard this on the radio?
>but you liked good music when you were little, remember listening to stevie nicks records with your mom?
>could you try to play something normal for once?
>we hoped you would play something we all could enjoy

All this shit when they're the ones who asked what kind of music I'm listening to now.

Cmon man. Thats like the musical equivalent of shitting on a square and calling it art.

lol imagine casually playing that album for your family in the car on the way to see a movie. two minutes in, your mom, sitting in the back seat, puts her hand on her chest and sheepishly says, "Is...is this what I think it is?"
then your father gets really angry at you, turns it off, and pulls over to berate you about how disgusting it is. your sister begins to cry about how she doesn't even know you anymore, and your brother says he feels like vomiting.
things eventually turn violent and long story short, you don't visit for christmas anymore.

It means literal audio from child porn, user. It's mostly horrific and entirely sad.

As in "hardest to get into", so the album in your library that would be most displeasing to people who aren't into it. Genres like noise rock, metalcore, grindcore, power electronics, etc.

I support you friend.

I played some datach'i for my mom once, she didn't really get it but her ears didn't bleed

It's between Lye by Mistake and I am a Burning Lake of Orchids for me. I got shit for Gentle Giant, so I can't imagine either going over very well with them.

Maybe I don't listen to "difficult" enough music, but I certainly share it with my family. We all play music for each other. I listen to mostly math rock, post-rock, psychedelia, etc. Usually the way it goes down is I play something like that and ask my parents "What kind of music do you think this is?" The most common answer is my mom saying "sounds like Rush."

Generally my parents don't like the music unless I specifically picked something I thought they would like. They did enjoy Tame Impala for example.

> got shit for Gentle Giant

I feel the fuck out of your pain, user.

The Stevie nicks thing really hit close to home, know what its like man

It helps me concentrate

>I am a Burning Lake of Orchids
If you play this one kind of quiet they might just think it's genereic rock.

I think listening to this puts you on a list somewhere

Progressively redpilling my dad on heavier and heavier music and different kinds of metal. Mentioned that he liked a Slipknot song he heard on the radio a few weeks ago, I now almost have him listening to Infant Annihilator without complaint.

I have no idea how they would react to any of my music because I stopped talked to them about music once I moved out.

My mom hates everything that isn't the prog rock she snorted coke to in college, and my dad hates everything that isn't 60's protest music. My younger brother exclusively listens to the weirdest bullshit on the planet (like, "a 47-minute-long recording of two blenders being knocked around on a folding plastic table by a hockey stick, while somebody aggressively chants curse words in broken German" weird), and claims that all music that isn't what he listens to is "too mainstream to be any good." I'm convinced he posts here.

>Shrieked vocals over very heavy synth

Yeah, I don't think so.

I mean REALLY quietly

Played this for some friends once, they lasted about 4 minutes
>When does the melody come in?
>Are there even lyrics?
>I could have made this

I see.

Eleh is probably the most difficult in my library right now

so why do you keep doing it you enormous fag

Can't tell if I despise or quite like this

I have to know user, when would/do you listen to this? I'm not one to only listen to certain music at certain times, but I can't imagine waking up and thinking "let's listen to this"

>when would/do you listen to this

when I'm tired of listening to common genres / music

I've played this for my family. Needless to say they didn't like it.

what's that shitty Sup Forums meme genre that's just the same tone repeatedly played

id play that

uh idk, onkyo? EAI? lowercase? nothing really comes to mind

not that user, but Eleh is great for just losing focus to. I got into his stuff by accidentally leaving a song on in the background and forgetting it was even playing for 20 minutes, and when I finally saw it was playing in a tab in the background it made me realize much more time had passed than I would have thought.

this can only end poorly

>it's too angry to be music
that's a new one

I think he means drone but has no taste

I played this for my dad, he liked it more than I did.

>1 track
>60 minutes
>can't listen to it directly and continuously becuase it'll rape your ears
>can't keep it the background because it will unnerve you and give you a headache

>Radiant Intervals
Fucking love this album. Gives me a special sort of sonic feeling.

Probably throw on one of my Skin Crime CDs

See, I WOULD just lie and play something closer to their circles of music (when THEY ask ME to play for them what I'm listening to lately), but I can't win in that arena either. If I pick something I'm fairly certain they'll probably enjoy (y'know, something "normal") they say shit like:
>oh come on, you don't listen to this kind of music
>we know you listen to stuff that's way weirder than this
>dude don't lie, play something you actually listen to
>so when does the noise start so I can cover my ears? haha just kidding lol but really when?

And when I relent and play something I've recently enjoyed, they turn around and do the same bullshit I complained about in my first post. The last time I politely declined (and I only said, "I'm not really listening to anything new right now, actually," by the way) I apparently ruined everyone's Thanksgiving, and my mom ambushed me in the kitchen to tell me I was being rude to the whole family.

I can't win, user. I guess it's easier to just let the whole family spend 40 minutes a few times a year openly mocking me, than it is to be blamed by the whole family for ruining holidays.

Whoops forgot pic

...

>forgot pic
Like that was a bad thing

Yep. They think pretty much anything that uses a minor key is "angry," through, so take that commentary with a grain of salt

>metalcore

Kek sounds like its fun to be rude to your relatives. I wish I could get a reaction like that, desu. If you ask me, you'd do well to push it even more

Christ, that manages to be even worse

>a 47-minute-long recording of two blenders being knocked around on a folding plastic table by a hockey stick, while somebody aggressively chants curse words in broken German
>claims that all music that isn't what he listens to is "too mainstream to be any good."
lolwut
>the most generic noise ever
>objects banging around + foreign language
>not mainstream as fuck
your little brother he has absolute shit taste
tell him to post here so we can make fun of him

>My younger brother exclusively listens to the weirdest bullshit on the planet (like, "a 47-minute-long recording of two blenders being knocked around on a folding plastic table by a hockey stick, while somebody aggressively chants curse words in broken German" weird), and claims that all music that isn't what he listens to is "too mainstream to be any good." I'm convinced he posts here.
fucking kek, you should talk about music with your brother more often user

Mine is Kylie Minoise - You Suffer

They slowly got used to my music, they don't like it, but simply don't care anymore

Story?

>playing inaccessible music for your normie family
That's where you went wrong. Also it sounds as if your family is dumb as fuck

Jesus your family sounds like a group of straight-up morons

>Doesn't post about their own music taste
>Insults other peoples taste
Looks like you're an opinionated pleb mate

see

Everything I know is from this thread. I was the one telling OP that it might not be real initially. Someone really needs to just bite the bullet and type up a full transcript or something.

"Turn that off."

My mom and grandma wouldn't like it but they are both pretty open-minded so they would see the merit in it. Particularly my mom.

iktfb

>listens to sunn once
>okay but you listen to drone music
>apparently all my music opinions are discarded now
>fucking normies reeeee

why would you keep trying to play music for them?

Some Free Jazz probably. I feel like they can probably geet the apeal in most music but I dought there's much apeal to find here.

>ansinthe
what the fuck is that on the cover

My dad legitimately kept me and my sister from listening to metal and hip hop until I was 15 because of this exact reason.

I don't know, what do you even mean by difficult? Kinda hard to answer if I can't even figure out what album it would be.

link?

not to harsh, but if they have to listen to it in one sitting it's pretty hard

>be me sat in bedroom
>listening to pic related
>youtube.com/watch?v=7L9kSQbxx7M
>mom walks in

there were no words, just a horrified facial reaction expressing a mixture of confusion and disappointment

Admit it your brother listens to stuff 2deep4u

Your family sounds a lot more patrician than you

See

youtube.com/watch?v=gTEOd2VQmlk&t=387s

>dude lmoa you listen to Japanese electronic devices?

i'm curious to hear it but i don't want to get v&

Yeah I'm totally going to play Buyer's Market to my kids

That doesn't mean anything though since it varies based on person. I'd have a harder time listening to an entire Bieber album than Agoraphobic Nosebleed, does that mean the pop star makes more difficult music?

The only thing I can think of is something that literally nobody can listen to due to physical demands humans can't meet, like longplayer. But then that's not really an album so I'm not sure it counts.

>this is just noise

end this meme

Is it illegal to possess audio of child porn? Why would it be?

Im sure this board will give me shit for having this as my most difficult album, but in terms of how my family would react, my mom would honestly probably like it but no one else would

This nigga deserves more scrobbles.
last.fm/music/Zenjin

my mom is completely okay with merzbow but she hates post-rock

Oh yeah dude. Everyone I know turns Justin Bieber off immediately, but I put on some Lightning Bolt or Melt Banana and everyone immediately digs it.

Not once have I ever been afraid to play noise music for anyone in my life because it's so likeable and easy on the ear. :^)

u ok user?

I'm sure no one would go to jail over possessing it, especially because we don't know if it's real or fake, but knowing what it is why would you WANT to posses it?

>a 47-minute-long recording of two blenders being knocked around on a folding plastic table by a hockey stick, while somebody aggressively chants curse words in broken German
Sounds like you're the pleb, user-kun

That's cool that they're open minded about music. My mum doesn't really seem to like music at all really and hates anything even slightly heavy or angry sounding. When I was around eight I wanted her to take me to the cd shop in the mall and she wouldn't let me go in cause they were playing slipknot.

I'm just saying "hardest to get into" is an obviously flawed metric that doesn't actually point to anything in particular. If you listen to Lightning Bolt you probably didn't find them difficult to get into at all because their music appeals to you. People like different things, this isn't news.

I don't since it sounds boring as shit, but they were saying people didn't want it over legal concerns which was surprising to me.
