What album would you all consider the quintessential album for those genres. Like for hard rock it would be Boston's self titled

Post Rock

I think everyone realized that pretty quickly. RIP.

it doesn't matter
they are all identical

>i have only ever listened to explosions in the sky
ok?

Shoegaze, just listen to Loveless and that's all you need

Fuck you, there's lots of really cool mathy albums that obviously share some sonic similarities but do their own thing
just because you listened to polvo hella and tera melos doesn't mean every math rock band sounds the same

how does math rock sound similar?

Hold Your Horse Is
Yank Crime
Spiderland
Lavaland
Exploded Drawing

what is this meme

yes, it ended all with lysflath

this literally
also
>implying polvo sound anything like hella or tera melos

Definitely Noise.
it's probably just a big meme that I don't understand and or anyone that has stated that they've listened to Pulse Demon (or any other noise album) are lying.

early-post rock is vastly different

Vaporwave

Don't base your entire opinion of noise on pulse demon
try some of his earlier stuff
the laptop noise is not very interesting, gear based is where its at

alright well what would you recommend me to start on? I've been wanting to get into noise but I just can't. It sounds like static noise being recorded on a microphone.

not him but just wanted to rec this goat noise track youtube.com/watch?v=VfLhVucym6U

I would also try Les Rallizes Denudes, they helped me realize that resisting the f e e d b a c k is futile

>Les Rallizes Denudes, they helped me realize that resisting the f e e d b a c k is futile
only people who never listened to their 'hi-fi' releases prefer well-known 'lo-fi' stuff

alright thanks
