never put out anything memorable in the first place desu.

I occasionally remember Wavves, but I don't feel like listening to any song of them
Linus Spacehead and Hippies Is Punks were good songs of them

implying I've forgotten about Wavves very funny OP

I never forgot about Wavves. V was mediocre though.

I still listen to wavves OP

Good. Nathan Williams is about the douchiest person in the music industry. Literally just the west coast version of Mat Cothran

Album is 9/10.

I feel like i'm the only one who liked V

fuck this album

youtube.com/watch?v=3v0OZlSXXug

This is the best song on the GTA V soundtrack, so there's that.

>Implying indie bands put out anything memorable
Indie bands stay indie bands because they're too shit too get a contract and their too comfortable making mediocre music for people who want to be cool / get high

I listened to this a week ago

...

Still one of my favorite albums

>post forgotten bands
How do you expect me to do that?

damn..

I love Wavves and love V

Tfw wish I had a bf wish I had a loving man in my life

I never forget about wavves, I honestly really enjoyed afraid of Heights and v

nobody remembers DIIV since dev stopped coming here, and if they do it's always oshin

I still listen to KOTB at least once a month. I also unironically love V

One of the best tropical new wave albums

Not even close to true

i didn't listen to v after nathan was a douchebag on instagram and I didn't care for "My Head Hurts"
as someone who liked their lo-fi singles, love KOTB, and felt generally favourable to Afraid of Heights, is it worth it?

...

Also Julian Casablancas- tyranny

Cults
but they were always shit right?

Are you grill?

>douchebag on insta

I missed that, what happened?

i swear this band's existence was a money laundering operation or something

definitley some weird shit going on, that album bangs tho

That opening was gooder than hell

...

Fugg, Im a huge black Lips fan and I remember all these bands and more being listened to daily in high school

Is Wavves one of those bands that gets a huge fan base because most kids in California like the same generic Shit like FIDLAR and Burger Records?

tfw you survived the "Best Coast era" of P4K when the site was updated every 20 minutes to tell you a member of the band took a shit or that someone posted 30 seconds of blurry cell phone video footage of them performing a half assed cover of a classic rock song out of key at a show in Cleveland

I like a lot of these and still listen to them

Stick to your nigger music fucker.

Wavves are better than fidlar

Wavves entire sound is based of surfy Weezer songs. They brought nothing new except add some indie current guitar melodies

This. I saw black Lips last year and it was as Rowdy as they could ever be and the atmosphere was amazing. I passed by the club early and just walked in and met the members it was cool as hell. The Garage Rock revival had potential but I guess alt-indie was a better sell

Fantanocore but I enjoy it

METZ is my favorite band

best response itt, sheer scale of it

were one of the big three of 2009 alongside dirty projectors and anco and yet were completly forgotten now unlike anco

Do these guys still make music anymore?

I still listen to The Shins man. Good shit

MMJ isn't cool anymore but they're just as popular as ever

wavves really fell off after kotb. Their first two albums are solid 7/10s tho

This is partially true. Their first 2 albums definitely do not have much Weezer influence, rather they sound straight out of the 60s with a lo-fi bend. The rest this is true for

Yeah. But Abducted is begging for a male cover version if no one's done it yet.

times new viking

i enjoyed dev-chan threads. too bad fuckface and pitchfork derailed those conversations.

> tfw I never got to duel Dev

He's back in DIIV and I yelled "ITS TIME TO DDDDDUEL!" at him in Chicago

...

errr....and how did that go over?

for some reason my girlfriend really likes this band still.

Not indie but still a great album people tend to forget about. It seems like the only people who care now are the hardcore fans and even some of them don't like this record because it's too "polished", whatever that means.

mostly because they haven't done anything in years but they're one of my favorite bands

this album completely slipped out of my memory until a few months ago

The Unicorns

...

I dropped them the moment they essentially banned anyone who disagrees with their political standpoints from their shows.

They were never good anyway, so nothing of value was lost.

...

...

...

ma nigga

why'd you have to remind me

>they're one of my favorite bands
you're new to music, thats why.

nobody that knew them in 2009 still likes them. their sound, their attitude, everything about them is horribly dated. theyre beautifully tasteless if i was to put it in a way.

i love love loved that harlem record

>Tfw still like yuck

tapes n tapes
we are scientists
maybe wolfparade, but people shouldn't forget them

yas

that's a terrible album cover
where you the guy on the mu listen along

I've been on Sup Forums since 2009 and still love Harlem. Just put them on a mixtape for a girl.

This album is great, especially Dear Sons and Daughters into I'll Believe In Anything. That has to be one of the best one-two punches in indie rock history.

These guys should've known they would end up one album wonders.

Black Lips and Speedy Ortiz fucked up by deciding to clean up their noisy lo-fi instrumentals.

these guys get it

I like Sunset Rubdown better than Wolf Parade but this is still a good album

>Got no car.
>Got no money.
>I got nothing, nothing, nothing, not at all.

>Got no god (wah-wah-wah)
>Got no girlfriend (wah-wah-wah)
>And I know, I know that neither wants me

...

goat forgotten band. literally perfect

SHANTY #FOLK

Don't hate on Asobi Seksu. They're just on a break so nobody talks about them.
