Not bad, just a little dry. You just need some effects and soundscapes to liven it a bit.
Really liked the church at auvers.
You have a really unique style mixing happy with deep and dark. I feel like you have a lot on your mind when writing. Trying to learn myself, your playing is a bit intimidating lol
The vocals to that demo sound a little off tho. Sounds like you recorded in a verby room, then put longer reverb on top of that. Maybe chop off the tails of your phrases then add the reverb, or just fix the acoustics of the room.
>big room? I don't even know. Has metal stuff in it.
Will be checking more of yalls out as well

didn't enjoy the synth that came in over it though, felt a little out of place.

was good, felt like a OPN homage
>FeelBetter
was enjoyable, could have been mixed a little better, some things just samples just jumped out at me. unless that was what you were going for?
>A Transient Failure
the title says it all lol
felt like just when it was starting to go somewhere it ended. some of the synths did reminds me of OPN again.
>lo fi, folk, vaporwave
an attempt at metal music, from a bedroom electronic producer
Really catchy, good quality mix too.
Like that vocal switch at the end of cold sheets.
Great vocals. Did you sing that or is it a sample? Either way they're mixed really well.
Creative use of the vocal sample in acedemic nightmare. Great synths too.

Does it make you a little sad that you'll never make a living off of your music?
you think you're pretty good
and you probably are
but the barrier to entry to music as a career is just so high
soundcloud threads at least give me good feels

How can I improve this guys?

Saw tetra and went for it. Wasn't disappointed.
In the midst off all this chill stuff, it's good to hear some upbeat happy stuff. As soon as the beat dropped I had a smile on my face, and it gradually got better. Great stuff man. Really catchy.
Yeah, it'd be nice to make it more than a hobby.
It makes me happy tho if people listen to my stuff, even if it's just yall nerds.
Yall keep my hopes high.
I only do this for myself. I don't really expect a career out of this, I just like to record stuff I do so that I can move onto the next and have a reference of what I have done before.
I think making music for the sake of a career will only get you as far as a backing musician for a pop band. You need to use music as an artform and express yourself. break rules, do what feels right.
i know user
i still sometimes listen to my music, and i like it so much, but still feel sad that i know it will never get recognition from wider audiences. its just my ego being stupid though.
I'd fucking appreciate some feedback, relatively new to producing (hip-hop)
I get that. I think I would only feel comfortable about trying to promote my work outside of these threads would be if I had the time to make a cohesive album. Right now I just like making little things and try to see it as practice for a future project that may or may not ever come to be.
Thanks a lot. Anxiety is sort of the piece I felt like I did the worst on lol. But I was definitely going for samples jumping out at you in FeelBetter, although that might not make for an interesting listening experience.
>hated
>experimental
>trap shit
A cohesive album is also my end goal. So far everything I make sounds so damn different, it's hard to put em together under one label. Finding a 'sound' as a musician (without becoming repetitive) is probably the hardest part.
I want to say it should be a theme that ties everything together and not so much something sonic. whether the theme be lyrical or just an emotion that is being conveyed. but it's not like im speaking from experience, it's just what I think mine should be, and each song could be a different approach to the theme.
>jangly rock
Some Sup Forumstans have said we're "dope shit", others have said we're "trash"
I feel you.I guess it's different for me, it dones't matter if I have a theme or not, I just make way different shit every time I make something, idk how to control it. one song will be electro house, the next one one future bass, the next one speed metal, they're just too fucking far apart to put it in an album.
haha no I totally get you, I'm all over the place right now. I think I'm getting closer to what I think I should sound like, but that should never mean I would stop touching other genres. maybe it's just a matter of organizing.
link me your soundcloud m8
Dunno if this is the right place to do this, but I'd like any song/artist recommendations based on what I have so far. Feel free to reply with your own stuff.

Still not bad man, you've some nice concepts.
I found Broken midi to be really enjoyable
