Moreover, the Democrats erected Hillary Clinton, a lifelong career politician whose public persona is thoroughly toxic. Even with the establishment entirely on her side (from media to entertainment), she still couldn't connect with her constituents because the entire party divorced themselves from their own base. The campaign was certain it could ignore the white working class's plights in favor of playing the liberal middle class's favorite game of identity politics. It's hard to boil down her campaign's failure to a single factor, but nothing stank of condescension quite like her counterslogan "America Is Already Great." She had the gall to say this at a time where:
- America is stuck in a foreign policy quagmire through executive overreach in the Islamic world
- The chasm between the upper, middle and working classes continue to widen
- Jobs continue to get outsourced to developing nations courtesy of favorable trade deals
- Healthcare premiums continue to climb

Trump is simply means to an end. I believe that the path to power must come via a Trumpist inclusive, 'colorblind' nationalist approach. Trump, either consciously or unconsciously, has awakened a yearning for what is considered "traditional" American values and culture. This "culture" is mostly built on Anglo values and traditions. I think white pride already exists in a lot of people who just don't know that's what you call it and who're afraid of exploring it. Favoring your own group is natural instinct and while people have been conditioned to deny it, it's there. Even most white liberals instinctively know a white hood is the better place to live or they'd rather have their children attend a predominantly white school. I don't know if it will ever be something that's explicitly part of a major politician's agenda, we are talking about metapolitical stuff here. Cultural shift, the populist wave so to speak. White pride has to be the guiding principle on that level for any of this to have any point. Trump's immigration rhetoric was the firestarter.

Now here's a band with a fascinating bit of history. Before getting elected to the Front National's central committee in 1997, Robert Ottaviani began his career here as Ultime Assaut's lead vocalist. He has since attempted to distance himself from his past:

Characteristic of most releases from Rebelles Européens, gritty reverbed rhythms drive the music like their fellow countrymen Légion 88 or Chauves Pourris. The songs here are consistently midtempo and have a strangely ethereal quality which ends up soundling like a French version of "Second Empire Justice" by Blitz. The mostly Oi! A-side is a complete drag, and all too many songs string you along with a few neat intros, but then drag you down in the conventional third-rate Oi! you're tired of hearing.
Things get much more interesting when the album delves deeper into Post-Punk on the B-side. The closer "L.V.F." has some neat Ska strokes while "Chômeur 80" bursts forward with Hardcore energy. Unlike the French pirate vocals of Légion 88's Alain or Kontingent's Laurent, Robert has this intoxicated, off-key moan which ranges from tolerable to grating. "Segneur Barbare" is perhaps his best performance since he keeps it at a volume just above a whisper. The instrumentation helps, too.
