I am so excited. The Vuelta always brings some of the most exciting racing of the year, especially among the GC contenders.
I am certain that the 2012 edition is one of the GOAT grand tours, seeing three of my favorite riders battle day after day. I am a bit sad Rodriguez did not prioritize this in his final season as I would have loved to watch him ride the race one last time. I hope Valverde will not be too tired after 2 grand tours to ride in his usual style. But I'm sure we will get a few amazing performances out of him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him nap the points jersey and a top 5 even while hauling Quintana around Spain.
I cannot wait to see how Contador will win.
