Neil Peart of Rush.

She's a militant liberal

People with diagnosable autism usually lack the rhythmic ability to play musical instruments or produce songs.

Hmmmm you think so:

t. defensive autist

Frank Zappa
Exene Cervenka
GG Allin in practice and not theory

I sense very libertarian feel in Greg Graffin. I might be wrong tho.

Liberals are libertarians

No, they are not. Stop being a retard.

Um. No.

I'm not sure how you could possibly miss the overwhelming ancom/socialist themes of Bad Religion's music

Don't trust me, read his book or any of his interviews. He also disavows individualist anarchism/libertarianism in the song "Do What You Want"

I never payed too much attention to his lyrics and never read his book.

Is Herbie a socialist?

it's because the people here are teenaged autistic opinionated fucks who think that the world actually cares what they have to say.

Herbie both invented and transcends politics all at the same time. He created it all. Communism, Capitalism, Socialism. ALL his ideas.

Likely theory.

>not loving Outkast

>really makes you wonder why he did a song with RTJ
...Because he's been working with Killa Mike for fucking years dude.

I do love them, I was just kidding.

Do you prefer ATLiens or Aquemini?

He's not a libertarian.
He's Willy Wonka.
Also he's notoriously reluctant to talk about politics other than to say shit is frustrating.
Also he's a catlick so there's that.

Neil Peart is one of the most renowned drummers there are, and people cite his precise timing.

Liberals are definitely on the libertarian side of the libertarian-authoritarian scale. Actual liberals anyway. "Leftists" in general can tend to have a "anything for the greater good" mentality, although authoritarians tend to be angsty, loud minorities because we don't live in a very authoritarian society. So-called "classical liberalism" and libertarianism really only differ in that liberals want some limited government interference in economics and enforcing equality while libertarians claim to not want any and sometimes LARP as anarchists.

Thanks for clearing things up, Goku.

in short, Libertarians

No problem, see you later! And remember, being a borderline feral child in the wilderness is the only true political system!

...

Everything will be delivered by drones in libertarian paradise anyway.

TOO MUCH POLITICS!?
NOT ENOUGH HERBIE!?!

Ok, folks we're gonna play a game. It's called 'Pick a Year'

Name a year between 1962 and 2007, I'll talk about/review the album that's on or closest to that year.

1961

I get a weirdly libertarian vibe from MF DOOM. He's sort of... out there enough I think

Daily reminder that the libertarian right has the worst music

We got Frank Zappa which is the best musician from the past century

So you are wrong.

Not in the critera please try again.

libertarians have the worst everything cuz they'r efuckin dumbos lmao

Nah the worst music is from authoritarian left

Does anyone know if Isaac Brock is a libertarian? Even if he's not, at least he doesn't seem to talk politics much.

1982.

Oh, ok! Perfect!

Quartet was released in 1982, and was esencially a collaboration album between bassist Ron Carter, drummer Tony Williams, and trumpet player Wynton Marsalas. On this album there were no new compositions from herbie, though 2 of his earlier songs were re done. "Eye of the Hurricane" from Maiden Voyage and "The Sourcerer" from Speak like a Child

My personal favorite on the album is the reworking of the jazz standard Round Midnight.

Reminder that the best music is from the people who act like fascists but won't tell you if they're actually fascists so numales can yell that they're just being ironic to save face.

You slick fuck.

I ain't fuckin touchin Lite Me Up, I damn well know what you were trying...

Besides even if I DID Lite Me Up it'd be very short.

"It's fucking awful."

all praise be to herbieposter

Thanks! Feel free to pick another year!

Even you can you evil plotter.

got 1997?

I DO, actually!
One moment.

1+1 was a collaboration album between longtime friends Hancock and saxophonist Wayne Shorter. This album is notable because it features ONLY them on the instrument with no other accompaniment from other musicians or collaborators, just Herbie on piano and Wayne on soprano saxophone.

The album featured all compositions made by Shorter and Hancock with the exception of the song 'Memory of Enchantment' written by Michiele Borstlap, a very fantastic re working of the track.

It's an overlooked album a lot of the time but certainly not a bad one.
