Only golds count idea is flawed. A country that won 1 gold in horse dancing, sailing or synchronized swimming did not have a better Olympics than a country that won 30 silvers and no golds in actual sports.

Also, winning a with a nice spread in golds, silvers, and bronzes illustrates a well rounded performance and a country capable of challenging in many events.

I like 10, 5, 1.

1 pt per medal.

5/3/1 is optimal.

I like 5/3/1

1 gold in dog dick sucking is worth more than all the silver and bronze in actual sports

just the way it is

Gold - 1
Silver - 0
Bronze - 0

I prefer 3/2/1.

>being defeated in several events illustrates a well rounded performance

10
2
1

this desu
silver is the first loser
bronze is the second
only gold matters

Oh yeah, much, much better to get blown-the-fuck out in the qualifiers and never even compete for a medal.

10 -4 -2

7/3/1

>Giving points for losing

Nice proxy, lad

If you're going that route, then a weighted gold system is the only option.

A horse dancing medal isn't worth as medal as the 100m.

Equestrian medals shouldn't even be tallied.

per capita

Pretty sure all our horse riders can swim. Stick Michael Phelps on a horse and see if he can make it dance.

I agree, I think bronzes should be weighted very highly.

Especially in team sports where you win bronze but lose silver.

Bronze is a pretty great medal colour, if there's no gold nearby and the lighting is poor people can even think it might be gold. Bronze was also used to make armor and weapons. There's absolutely no shame in a country winning so many bronze medals.

5/3/1 is the system, someone tally this shit now

Gold medals of sports with 2 events should be worth 20 points. Medals of sports with 10 events should be worth 4 points. Medals of sports with 40 events should be worth 1 point, and so on.

You lazy, fat cunt

2 bronze = 1 silver
2 silver = 1 gold

4/2/1

If I had to choose. I mean, really, gold is all that matters.

Gold = 9008
Silver = 130
Bronze = 1

I dont know where some my fellow hues get that mentality from

I like this one. Two silvers shouldn't be worth more than one fond.
