I'm downloading Geogaddi and Music Has the Right to Children right now and will be listening to them for the first time, any other albums by BoC I should download?
I'm downloading Geogaddi and Music Has the Right to Children right now and will be listening to them for the first time...
Acid Memories and Play by Numbers
The Campfire Headphase. I think it's the most likable one.
Twoism.
A Few Old Tunes and Old Tunes, Vo. 1
Came here to suggest this, OP
A Few Old Tunes is Old Tunes vol 1
Their tape comps are A Few Old Tunes, Old Tunes Vol. 2 and Random 35 Track Tape.
In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
Available here: rareboc.ax.lt
OP here, I guess I'll download the two albums in my op + The Campfire Headphase, Twoism and In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country. If I liked those I'll go back to their tape compilations. Thank you guys.
TCH is when BoC went downhill, avoid it.
It's not that bad, just lighter in comparison to their other albums.
Let's face it - there's a reason we haven't heard too much early BOC: it was trash:
And you can say that by just hearing a 1 minute sample?
Is that even genuine? As far as I know BoC doesn't acknowledge anything before Twoism.
Youtube link unrelated?
Yes
Yes
Oh yeah I meant Vol. 2 my bad, man.
But yeah quoting you again because those comps are fucking top notch.
Geogaddi will blow your mind, enjoy
check out Tomorrow's Harvest, kinda cool
>Is that even genuine?
>yes
How do you know? BoC are one of the most copied electronic artists of all time. I'm sure their "leaked" earlier stuff are hoaxes.
All their EPs. Twoism, Hi Scores, In a Beautiful Place Out of the Country. Trans Canada Highway only if you really loved Campfire Headphase
>ywn listen to gazetronica BoC
why live
There's some gems in there amongst some of the more goofy tracks.
>wanting to hear pre-BoC Maxima material
It would only be disappointing. Be honest with yourself. These are awful:
Trans Canada Highway does feel a bit throwaay in that two thirds of the EP are made up of a previously available track, a remix of said track and two short vignettes but Left Side Drive and Skyliner are legitimately good tracks and worth getting the EP just for them.
Both are fake. People are starved for BoC so there is a lot of fake stuff floating around.
Why when there are so many alternatives you could be enjoying
this is good, though.
duffy sounds great
circle sounds like a shortwave radio recording so idk about it
some of the tracks on the random 35 track tape are rumored to be from their early releases and all the tracks on that tape are absolutely great

youtube.com
see
these are real. look it up
they were on the official BOC website years ago, theyre snippets. however the only available songs from before boc maxima are as follows
Circle
Wouldn't you like to be free?
Duffy
so no, those ARE real
Massive Attack is my favorite BoC soundalike, yeah.
Fuck off Turny.
backpambient dudebro music
Those and the Play by Numbers are the only real ones out there afaik
>bocpages.org
Some fanwiki doesn't prove shit. Everything before Twoism is likely fake.
this is not a tycho thread m8
>alternatives
>soundalike
Sup Forumscore fanboys baka
This is true. If I remember correctly they were on the very original first BoC website run by The Cosmic Crofter.
In one of the interviews they did around the release of TH they mentioned that they'd been spending ages just cataloguing all of their early and unreleased stuff.
And you'll still never hear it :^)
No, those are the only two good ones.
Only other thing I might recommend is the "in a beautiful place out in the country" ep.
get it all
on top of Geogaddi and Music Has the Right to Children, you need Twoism, Boc Maxima, In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country, The Campfire Headphase and Tomorrow's Harvest
Twoism and A Beautiful Place Out in the Country would be good to start since they are EPs and combined length is barely an hour
