No they didn't, Kaneda was brought back by the sacrifice of the little blue kid who jumps into tetsuos apocalyptic explosion that sucks everything in and Kaes psychic powers were only because the 3 blue kids were using her as a host to channel all their energies against the ever increasingly powerful Tetsuo.
