Bravo OP you didn't post an electro album, a house album, a good album, or much of an album at all.
...
Your contribution was clearly better.
Here's your homework OP
youtu.be
thats electropop/weabootrash mate. His music reminds me of your ears popping when you yawn on a plane ride.

>tfw not a namefag yet still everyone knows me
because you're the one poster on this board who likes porter robinson and bring him up anytime anything remotely electronic or dance music is mentioned
yeah and im allowed to
You're allowed to, but it certainly does fly in the face of most of Sup Forums's tastes and the board's culture
Sup Forumss taste in electronic music is bad. i dont listen to the other stuff Sup Forums likes so i cant say if its bad or not
in what capacity? can you name specifics? or is it the fact that they don't like porter robinson?
Classic space laces WIP's/official stuff
Guy never released an album, lost files to some of his older stuff, so it's all gone. Highly recommend listening to his torture and ho's and disco's remix. Plus deep space is a godly track
I'd also say 4x4=12 is my favorite deadmau5 album, next to the one OP posted
they post 80s-90s disco and shit that only they have heard of. its not even real music
Some of its good, and some is shit. You gut a mixed bag
Now this is good electro
i guess some of it is alright but not something id listen to on my own
oh yeah dude thats what im talking about
I AM THE WIZARD OF BALLS!
I CAST MANY SPELLS TO SHRINK BALLS
I HAVE LARGE BALLS, SO THIS IS AN ISSUE OF GRAVE CONERN
>they post 80s-90s disco and shit that only they have heard of
are you talking about /bleep/? Because they're dedicated to undeground dance music in all capacities spanning the late 1970s to the present. Of course they don't listen to the American festival "EDM" stuff.
i am talking about /bleep/, the only place talking about electronic music is even slightly tolerated. i wish there was a thread for festival EDM, i would love to talk to other anons about it
Make one then. There's definitely a few like minded posters on this board.
But yeah /bleep/ is an entirely different ballgame. It's like comparing underground hip-hop of the late 70s/early 80s and the popular trap rap of today.
there are plenty of facebook groups for ravers that im sure would be more your speed
Why not here?
Are you implying a board with multiple degenerate shitty memerap and trap threads is somehow above EDM lmao
system keeps thinking my post is spam so check pic related
>the only place talking about electronic music is even slightly tolerated
lol m8, first day here or something?
i think you mean to say club music, not electronic music
Bleep rarely posts disco anyway m8, you're probably just so clueless you can't even tell the difference between house and disco
meant this pic my bad lmao
really made me think
It's pretty good stuff, but sometimes I can't stand it. I'll listen to some older DnB from the 90's and early 2000's. Plus I got the DnB arena 20 years, which was worth the buy. Pic related is my playlist
yeah i mean those are kind of different things. /bleep/ exists because theres not really another place for clubgoing weeb halflings to shitpost about dubplates and at this point has its own distinct culture. "degenerate shitty memerap and trap" is just popular hip hop so yeah naturally people are going to talk about that.
>noisia
>eptic
>habstrakt
>excision
>gemini
my nigga
>ignores the pendulum remix of voodoo people
>ignores true romance
At least you saw some good. I need some more classic DnB from the early 2000's. Can you recommend some?
the only pendulum i really like is both parts of the island
and i dont know any early 2000s DnB off the top of my head. DnB was never really my thing growing up, the only DnB i listen to is 2 getter remixes and old kill the noise back when he was ewun
You ever hear in silico? Or hold your color? Other then that, get some hybrid minds, get some loadstar, and buy the 20 year DnB arena mix. It really is a good buy to be honest
again its not really my thing. my taste in electronic music is diverse and i can enjoy just about everything but DnB was never something i bothered to download/buy or listen to on my own
Ah okay. I get that DnB can be hard to get into. It's such a more complex genre that it does get repetitive every now and then, especially with jungle.
Funny how I began to listen to electronic music from monstercat, then started to find better labels lol
fuck monstercat. ill admit they were decent back in like 2011, but then they started signing anyone and everyone and everyone just made the exact same shit and it became so oversaturated that it just became intolerable. OWSLA/Disciple are my shit these days
Alix Perez
I still keep track with them and they somehow have good music. The issue is that the logo is at the bottom, and I feel it needs a huge uplift. Same can be said for the artists. Haywyre, rogue, PBN, Kuuro, muzzy, etc, all should leave the label and find one that will fit them, like Vision recordings/Viper for muzzy, owsla for kuuro and PBN, and disciple signing rogue to be a artists.
The problem with monstercat is it's fan base. Thankfully I started to branch out because of them, but damn is the music bad at times. You don't ever hear some played at actual sets, because they sound ridiculous, but so is a ton of the repeated riddim Shit on some other sets
Mm, I like some alix Perez, and I do find his label to be a treat to see (1985)
Maybe he can go back to DnB, but his halftime is interesting to hear
the only song i still like on that entire label to this day is rainbow road by nanobii. and also some pegboard nerds songs like heartbit and their remix of juices by virtual riot and dubloadz
and yeah i never hear monstercat songs played at any live set of any DJ lmao
If there is any songs I'd say could be played, it's probably halcyon, blossom, FTW, surface, we won't be alone, edge of the world, savage (Kuuro), and get crazy. Other then that, it's for 12 year olds desperate for "ebic dubstep!"
a majority of it is electro house and glitch hop. its so cookie-cutter it pisses me off. taking all the glory while actually good labels like OWSLA/Disciple/Firepower
Glitch hop I still have a fondness for because it's a label that still makes it, but it lost electro house. Now it's a mad decent with "dubstep bangers" according to the Reddit.
Besides that, it's a generic label. It's the spinnin of edm, and it takes away the shine of others. Disciple shows so much greatness with its producers, but also gets quality and doesn't forcefully upload every week. Firepower has also proven it can stand up on its own, and have producers that can make both dubstep and other edm genres. owsla may have lost its dubstep touch, but it makes the top of its class things at times, even if the release is subpar.
Monstercat was a good starting point a few years ago. It's gotten a heavy dose of sign-them-all sickness in recent times, basically what's been said. Perfect example of what's wrong is what happens every time they post a Karma Fields release. Their cancerous fanbase sucks hard.
Tasty Network have been through similar but they've finally had some fairly good releases recently.
i agree with you on all points about labels. tho spinnin IS edm, albeit the worst edm label, worse than monstercat
never say die is great too
their fanbase is sonic/mlp tier. 13 year old minecraft/CoD kids
They should let the other guys branch out. Tokyo machine and kuuro would easily fit with owsla, and same for soupandreas. Then there's stonebank, who should consider signing with either disciple, RAM or viper to get even more recognition, and you also have muzzy who can do that as well. In addition, they could put rootkit to mad decent, hyper potions and nitro fun to tasty, and haywyre to firepower or mosaik musik(New label by C&K this spring)
Hell yeah! NSD is one of the best labels for dubstep. Only issue is that the modestep release was so hyped up for screetches. At least a huge neon grave remix EP is coming, with ghastly, KTN, trampa and eptic, and a skrillex remix.
the neon grave remix EP is gonna be fucking banging. tho the skrillex remix is the skrillex x zomboy VIP
>skrillex drops remix of like a bitch
>it's only 0.55 seconds
>it just puts in all zomboy sample packs and at the end you head skrillex say
>"Terror squad was a fucking joke"
>every single comment on the release on soundcloud/youtube still says "COME TO BRAZIL JAJAJAJA"
I hate being reminded I share the internet with south americans
Make way for the elder god tier of house
>tfw i can rarely connect with other edm fans online because they all are from south america and dont speak english
>tfw they all like hardwell, tiesto, martin garrix anyway
>go onto NRG remix comments
>it's bronys
Skrillex needs to get some kind of genocide going in his fanbase. Also, if space laces releases on NSD this year, I'd have a heart attack from the shock. He needs to make one to be honest. Barbarians, hydro, say it ain't so, dungeons and dragons, and a lot more still need official releases. Sadly he fucked up his computer and lost many songs
South Americans are mixed, but all annoying. At least they aren't like the faggots at Ultra Miami. There was pendulum reuniting for the first time in years, but the camera man focuses on a Hispanic making a U with his hands over the buildup from KP to pendulum
why the fuck are bronies attracted to that remix of all things?
and yeah, skrillex's fanbase needs less south americans. space laces is great, his new collabs with excision are awesome.
ultra miami is shit these days. its just generic big room house artists headlining and all the people who go are the normiest of normies. ill keep my EDC and electric zoo, thanks
What did he mean by this?
They like that NRG remix just because some bronies made a video and it went huge or some shit. Besides that, I don't know if skrillex is going to collab with excision, but I did hear about snails and skrillex.
Ultra is Shit, except for the KP sets. Other then that, stick to let it roll, EDC, or whatever
skrillex and excision would be massive. snails and skrillex made a song thats gonna be on snail's new album but honestly it sounds generic af
mysteryland this year might have k?d, skrillex, and porter robinson and its only an hour drive away so im going to that for sure. same with electric zoo at the end of the year
What about space laces? Your thoughts on him? And on phiso as well?
space laces has cool sound design and i like his stuff. bugbass is fucking crazy
the only phiso song i like is jotaro
Yeah. Shame that a ton of electro from space laces was lost because he didn't back up his files. At least digital gangta lived. Slime, cheeseburger, chain gang, moon shoes, no mercy, and a lot more were left in the dust simply from stupidity
As for his newer stuff, I love it. Dungeons and dragons is one I'd love to drop at a set, say it ain't so is so happy and hard, bugbass is intense yet calm, and throwing elbows is pure madness. If he ever releases barbarians, hydro, or busted at, I'll be so fucking happy.
Also I made this playlist on YouTube
youtube.com
It got a lot of things in it, including memes
damn some good ones in that playlist
>wavedash
>getter
>ktn
the only music specific playlist i have is for porter robinson live edits, but my "liked" videos are 90% music
youtube.com
also my soundcloud likes + playlists are full of stuff
soundcloud.com
Here's barbarians if your too lazy to see the full list. youtu.be
But I honestly think space laces should sign with NSD and grow right there.
nah im still going through your list its just im listening to music right now on winamp so i was just looking at what you had added
and what label is he on right now? is he just solo releasing?
Earlier this week he tweeted that only his 11 favorite songs he's made are "canon" and everything else is now unofficial and it might actually be the cringiest thing I've seen a musician do
how so?
He self releases but he hasn't made a solo one since 2015. If he could, I'd buy a EP on iTunes in a heartbeat. Plus the guy could get more money that way. The last label he was on was rottun in 2014 with digital gangsta.
his soundcloud does look really empty. but hes still doing collabs which is something i guess, throwin elbows is insane live
You are right on that, and people even comment that his pornhub is more
Active then social media on some songs
lmao his pornhub? the hell is that about?
Dunno. But my board is fucking getting raided by porn threads (/vp/)
Besides that, he should do more often releases, and busted at is one of the best dubstep songs I want to hear
best dubstep song imo is tied between kill the noise part 1 and like a bitch (extended mix)
I thought Flicker was pree good.
