First for Patton was right and the USSR should have been nuked numerous times in 1945

whom?

Chris Greene.

Mike Patton?

Filling out the ol' CAO

Important stuff

Galway or Cork boys? Both the same course, but Corks is more up to date and I prefer, but Id probably enjoy Galway life better.

...

Go for Dundalk instead.

don't understand why he'd be ár lad

Galway's full of lefties. And I mean real lefties.

Why bother lad just find a job.

Surely it's not that bad

The nightlife and what not seems good

so is a mouse and they scare elephants lad

think about that next time you underestimate a disciple of the heem machine called the gaelic race

Trust me, it is.

/éire/ meetup in Dubhlinn on Thursday for the Trump Rally?
I want to heem Irish Alt-Lefties on the Green.
#EEJITS

hadn't heard about a rally

hope the attendance isn't as dire as the last one

Are you from Galway? I mean I'm a vehement right winger myself but I could keep it controlled, how bad would the leftie stuff be in NUIG? Would UCC really be any better?

I've a snapchat date with the frog planned. Hopefully we will cyber

Lads, what's that illness where you struggle to keep your eyes open and have an aversion to light?

What's happening on Thursday? Is Trump planning on doing something then or is this just another fucking protest for the lefties?

wish i was with you guys

Seems like you need a degree to go anywhere in this country

Looks like I'll be moving there then.

or to hell

>how bad would the leftie stuff be in NUIG
On several occasions while passing through it I've been asked to sign petitions on abortion, refugees, etc. And I don't mean they had a booth there, the people fucking follow you and ask for your signature.

Wish I was a girl so I could be the official /éire/ camwhore and have my opinion matter far more than it already does.

would be shnappin

Surely there's some right wingers there though

Wasn't there that pro life catholic group that they shut down

>tfw everyone would probably be pathetic enough to actually do this if one came by
building hate for you all

>caring about 3D sloots

Only right wingers you'll find live in the countryside and commute in. Hard to find them if you don't already know them.

Just switch gender like these alt-degenderists.

I will heem every JackeenSepticTank lookalike I see in Dublin.

QUARES

Why is Iron Man a girl? No really is this from something or just fanart?

Just fanart.

I'll be looking out for you faggot, watch your back for a man in a bubble jacket and tracksuit bottoms

It would be so easy too. I'd just need to put on a trip and post some vocaroos to prove I'm a girl.

when are you guys going to stop being cucks and actually make irish your national language?

it is

well when will you teach it to everyone in school?

they do

Sing with me guys:

CARA AL SOL CON LA COMISA NUEVA

It was pretty bad when I was there but there are plenty of cabbage headed country folk to even it out a bit.

It'll be something soon enough. Give Disney some time.

>looking at UCC history

>In the first semester, all students are required to take the compulsory module East and West: the Origins of European Identity. You may also select to take one of two options: First Year Inquiry-Based Research Project; Anti-Semitism in Europe from the Enlightenment to the Holocaust.

oíche mhaith

>doing history in college
Don't. Don't let an interest become the thing you hate. Only jobs you'll get are teaching, if that.

I spoke to you before about this haha, should I even bother putting it down as a 5th choice or whatever if I don't get me preferred course or the points? I mean I am very passionate about history, I love it

Nothing wrong with doing history in college.
Also, teaching is quite the comfy job.

I did 1year of history in college but guess what... I isolated myself, became Hikki and droped out.
My life kinda droped at that moment too

>I spoke to you before about this
Don't remember that, probably wasn't me.

>should I even bother putting it down as a 5th choice or whatever if I don't get me preferred course or the points
Yeah sure I guess. Anything after the first three places is unlikely anyways.

>I mean I am very passionate about history, I love it
That can be a positive when learning something, or you can start to hate it the more you're forced to learn it.

What are you doing now? Did you go back to college?

are you not the law doing history in UCD/Trinity

No sorry, I didn't even do history I just heard from people that did.

Yes and i took an art degree.
Already finished it but guess what? There's not a single job opportunity in that area (and i'm not even really good at drawing so genuinely fucked)

Now i'm lost without direction. Trying to apply to a master in France as the only hope for me to not end my life wageslaving in the factory addicted to anti-depressants.

However, the future doesn not look very bright in that direction, i still gotta take a language test and i don't feel very confident about it

Maybe you could apply in Ireland for something la

I tought jobs were scarce in Ireland
Also, i don't have much skills so i don't see myself as being the most "employable person" around here.

However, i'll give it some tought. If i fail pheraps i'll give Ireland a try. At least i will be far away from this misery here and pheraps find friends and love there.

I meant a masters in Ireland, I know there's plenty of EU students do it here

Dunno m8.
My area is quite specific. It's more focused on animation and that sort of stuff

Probably unrelated to what you're doing but there is some sort of a animation industry in Ireland if that's what you're looking for. youtube.com/watch?v=R0XwKjBOQx0

Is this for real?
It's "the nuttshack" tier

By which you mean amazing?

>an art degree
I can't lie to you about your chances,but... you have my sympathies.

any point in filling out level 6/7 choices on the cao

Thank you.
I already know about my chances.

Thing is, art degrees aren't that useless and there's plenty of people working in that area but the two following qualities are recquired:

1- Be really social and dinamic
2- Draw without effort

I fail at those two.

Not really, that show was originally designed for young children, the main character still has Down Syndrome though. There is actually some sort of industry here though, some of those old Don Bluth films were partially animated in Dublin, and then you have other studios who worked on stuff like Song of the Sea. Some other shit from other companies like Disney had some shows outsourced here to be animated, think the somewhat recent show on Disney about the ninja was outsourced here, so there is potential to possibly get something here if you're into animation, no idea what you can do with a history and animation degree though.
Throw down some meme course if you want.

show us your drawings/animations

yeah but my lowest number 10 level 8 is like 200 points, does it go from my 10 level 8's then jump onto level 6/7 or how does it work

Here's a landscape
I can't share much stuff in Sup Forums. Only doodles an such

You get offered two options after results come out, one level eight course and one level six/seven course if you get the requirements for at least one course in each section. The six/seven option is basically another list of courses which you choose from, and has no effect on your level eight courses that you choose.

Ahh I get yeah. And what happens if I refuse my first level 8 offer? If I refuse my top or 2nd top level 8 offer on the first round, will I get offered what's below me on the second round?

On the day you get results if you get offered something like your third choice the CAO assumes that you don't want anything below that, so you can't get anything after the third choice. You can only still be offered the first or second choice which the CAO assumes you want more than the third, you'll get offered these if a course doesn't fill up, which for level 8 is pretty rare. You have a week to accept any offer you get on the first round of offers, if you don't accept the CAO assumes you don't want it and will offer it to someone else in a later round, so if you refuse the third you wont get fourth, fifth etc..

Thank God I'm not in secondary anymore. I'm not sure did I ever understand the CAO.

Oh right, seems kind of unfair. So if I get offered my third on the first round but do nothing, and I don't get offered my first or second during the next rounds what'll happen? I won't be able to get any courses below my third or any at all?

Nope, nothing below the third, and if you don't accept the third option you'll probably not get the second or first as most people will accept level 8 courses, so you get nothing, this is why the order you put courses in is important.

You also still have until the end of June to mess around with the order of courses and can add and remove courses as long as they don't require some sort of interview or additional test.

So there's actually a big difference between my third and fourth, second and third, first and second choices etc. okay ... anyway I'm pretty content but I know you can change your mind option thing is open till May so I'm still thinking of what to do

you forgot to make it good

Depressing

What the fuck?

Getting up early and saving this general

Good lad.

>get let go in November
>Ever since looking for a job
>Can't find anything
>Feel like shit because I can't support my family like I did
>See CAO lad in the thread
>Think about wanting to go to uni
>Would need a grant to pay it all off
>Chances are all get nothing out of it as a result
>End up wasting another year looking for jobs that aren't there

Fuck lads

>I can't support my family like I did
Are you married with children? That's pretty rare for youngsters. Unless you're an oldfag in which case REEE

There's FETAC courses or whatever they're called, a fair few of them have lines into fairly reliable fields.

>Are you married with children
No I just like supporting my family, I'm 19 lad. I did my CAO in school but I fucked it up and pick places I couldn't get to. I'm just saying should I bite the bullet and go for it and get a grant and fo uni or FETAC but I'd prefer uni since I have no knowledge of FETAC. I just don't want to waste another year.

>teenagers in my /eire/

Móra na maidín daoibh buachaillí

It's pretty disgusting desu.

Do job-clubs help with getting you out of NEETdom or are they just a scam?

Heading off to one in 2 hours and I want to make sure I'm entering into something legit.

Never knew such a thing existed desu but it's good you're trying. You wont regret employment t b h

>You wont regret employment
I regret it every day.
