He's a cloned drone that works the daily grind because he thinks he's a real person with a family back home.
...
I don't get it. so there's 2 of him? That doesn't make sense, how do you copy a person....
slow down.... slow down....
But why would they clone a man before shooting him into space?
...
So they cloned a fake person with a family back home, and made a drone of him to grind daily?
what are some films a janitor will never understand?
Because they're crashing the spaceship with no survivors
Sounds like a wacky sitcom, I'd watch it
See this is why this movie is so fucking confusing, it sounds a lot like TDKR
...
i dont understand
dude what?
...
zozzle
But that guy just died. How is he in the next scene? This movie makes the least sense of any movie made.
How? Pretty based and straight-forward kino. Peak Mel.
There is a cloning station on the base. It is mentioned in the movie that it cost a lot to send people to the noon constantly so tge company makes clones that die every couple months.
Janny btfo for all eternity
I don't get the religious shit in it
Uuh...what?
I actually loled
I thought it was 3 years. But why wouldnt they just make a clone that lived forever and wiped his memory every few years so he thinks he just started the job?
Clones can't live forever, dummy
meme's aside, I had no clue what the fuck was going on after the first 20 minutes. Does it make more sense if I read the book?
it's about how everyone buys into the unique individual meme and lives their life by it.
Is that the real back cover? That plot synopsis sounds like it was written by an 8th grader.
not nihilistic enough i guess
please ,can anyone explain it
>Does it make more sense if I read the book?
No, it makes more sense if you pay attention instead of playing on your phone
they sent a man to space and when he died, they had prepped a clone to take his place with the same "memories" and then another clone is made to take it's place starting a perpetual circle of clone drones mining the moon forever.
He didn't die.
The clone calls his family on Earth and the dude is there.
MEW is cute, just look at her, all you need to understand is that she is cute.
You've got to be kidding..
It's explicitly made clear that the original man and his family is long dead and it is just a recording used to keep his successive clones motivated, complacent and believing that he have a family waiting for him.
Why do all those clone nonsense when they've got robots with working AI? Especially since the clones aren't very good and die in a week or whatever. Seems retarded. What was he even doing on the moon anyway? Like what was his job?
What's not to understand, just that people like it?
I mean it's mainly about a Broadway play. Was I just meme'd?
No. He finds out the truth. Manages to Call home. His baby is now like 10 years old and answers the phone.
And wiping memories is hard bro
>Replies to 11
>movie took place in 2088
The ending is some emperor's no clothes artsy shit.
time travel is hard to follow. especially when copies keep coming in and their motives are only implied. my brain was doing backflips trying to wrap itself around this one even after reading explanations online.
It's hard to follow because there is no story or characters.
i don't think it's a good movie or more accurately an enjoyable movie. but you can't deny there are both characters and a story. jesus what happened to you guys?
More like it's horribly explained
It was more cost effective to clone a person on location than it was to shuttle a man to the moon every how many years.
That's all there was to it.
...
the artistic masterpiece that is The Force Awakens.

Except the whole point of the moon base is that it ships things to the earth constantly.
dorf
The clones died not because they were clones, but because of the radiation in outer-space. All the symptoms match those of radiation poisoning.
did you even watch the film retard?
he was the devil
there, solved.
shipping from the Moon is easier because there's less gravity and atmosphere so it require's less propulsion hence saving $
plus having to constantly pay people is more capital
>no story or characters
why would someone say this
i kept thinking it'd cost less to complete automatize the station than creating a cloning machine and a body storage inside the base
Likely safer to have an actual human seeing as they're farming Helium-3 (iirc, anyways).
H3 is extremely rare/expensive here.
but the mining was already done thru machines and all he did was check the system and put the cylinders inside the gate
Try to describe the story, or the characters.
I think to oversee mining operations
IN ENGLISH DOC
really makes you think
help
Watched it last night, left me very confused.
That's why they had a three year contract because they only have three years to live.
Lynch lynched me
>Finally, i have become the Primer
walked straight out the kinoma
...
then stop watching movies. stick with your shitty capeshit flicks.
higher form of this medium is clrearly not for you, why even bother?
kys
>lol kys xDDD
great fucking response, retard
kys fag
its about actors who think they are better then everyone else
like how rigin wipes his mouth with humanity
I think the shittiest part of this is that the main character is aware at the end that the original, or Prime of him sold out the rights to his own memories and DNA to create hundreds, if not thousands of worker drones who will slave away on a station for four years before dying of genetic degradation, likely caused either by the cloning process or eventual exposure to space radiation.
Would you condemn thousands of copies of you to false hope, monotony, and death just to be set up for life?
Star Wars
Or rather why the devil was in it

trailer loked interresting, but he movie was a want-to-be-mindfuck but it is boring mess
are you dumb or what?
It's a meme thread
Because a galaxy far, far away is actually hell
what's the purpose of having it so he only thinks he's 2 weeks away from leaving? wouldn't that make him lazier and more cautious?
I liked this
