Why the fuck can't I get into female punk, Sup Forums? The music is alright, but the vocals are obnoxious as fuck, and the lyrics make it seem as though women in punk are out to trigger every non-feminist man and make them feel bad for being born sexist.
I'm into every other flavor of punk, but women in punk seemingly want to turn me off very quickly. Is this the case with any of you?

Yes, it's very much the same with me. I've accepted that I'm somewhat of a sexist, but who gives a shit, life's too short too listen to a bunch of bulldykes whining about their "issues".

Riot Grrl was mostly trust fund lesbians and pandering. but imo the raincoats, the slits, dog faced hermanns are good 'feminist' bands much more artful in general.
Penis Envy by Crass is an excellent punk record with exclusively female vocals
DIRT's Object Refuse reject abuse is also really good, though it does err on the "obnoxious" side.

A bit more on the thrash metal side but it's somewhere on the metal-punk spectrum for sure.
This, 70's punk is p good. I can jam out to early Siouxsie or X-Ray Spex because they never gave a fuck and just wrote catchy tunes.
The whole reason I can't get into riot grrrl is because the whole "CHECK UR PRIVILEGE U MALE SCUM HURR" attitude really turns me off.
I know I'm going to say something very obvious here, but everyone in the world is both racist and sexist. You don't have to like it, just accept it, acknowledge that it's not a good thing, then keep it to yourself. Don't fuck with the lives of people of other races or genders, but don't beat yourself up for having "bad" thoughts either. Just move on and don't make things complicated.
