They essentially created EDM and simaltaneously helped to become popular in the mainstream and with rock and rap and indie fans, so yeah.
Like they laid the groundwork in the early mid 2000s and then EDM really flourished at the start of the new decade with dubstep.
It's interesting how there was sort of a delayed reaction.
