Also, fairly well known india has a severe problem with cheating and degree mills. They even riot over it. I can give many examples. I can count the number of competent indian IT people I have dealt with on one hand. H1B visas just stuff the market with meh level talent that is directed and basically slave labored by an american group that does most of the actual work so they can try to keep their job.

That is interesting. On one hand, it doesn't sound fair. The major US based body shops run by Indians used to bring their fellow Indians here in large amounts. Their teams of lawyers worked hard to prove that their ""degrees"" are equivalent to the US bachelors or even masters degree in CS. Which is laughable.
On the other hand. We went to a job fair at one of the major colleges here and most CS graduates we interviewed were foreign. Americans don't want to enroll in CS. Too hard.

I am a network engineer and have been in IT for about a decade, there are plenty of people, they just don't want to pay. I had some dickbag try to get a senior network engineer for 83k during my hunt. To give you an idea of local market, I just took a job for 105k. That job will either go unfilled or they will fill it with some talentless hack parading as a senior.

Indians are garbage in IT, we have some dicknozzle that is supposed to be redhat certified, has a masters in computer sci and didn't know how fucking linux permissions worked, he just CHMOD 777 everything, literally every fucking file he could cause he couldn't figure out why something he had didn't work. After being told by an american systems admin, with no degree how it was a permissions problem, he fucked it up. They keep him around cause he is under the radar and gets paid peanuts in india after some shady deal on the backend with a company.

We had some of these fresh off the boat java ""experts"". They spent several months reading java books in their cubicles but didn't do shit. Eventually got rid of them but I am sure someone else picked them up. Totally worthless shits. But probably very cheap labor. But what's the point if they don't do shit. But as a consultant I worked for many different companies and I gotta tell you this mostly happens in big companies since they have too much corporate bullshit.
