into the bargain bin it goes

>Blunt is out

Based as fuck

i dont think it needs a sequel

>Blunt is out

I was waiting for Blunt to get whacked in the first movie. A shame it never happened.

This Summer:

Del Toro | Banderas | Trejo | Rodriguez

S I C A R I O S

Is this happening or is Sup Forums playing with my emotions again

S · I · C · A · R · I · O · Ƨ

It won't matter, it wasn't the script that made thre movie it was the direction.

Good job missing the point. Who the hell asked for a sequel?

>Blunt is out

why?

Hopefuly its not a direct sequel.

It's happening

deadline.com/2016/06/sicario-sequel-stefano-sollima-benicio-del-toro-gomorra-1201765978/?iframe=true&preview=true

No room for sheep in the land of wolves.

any news on story of your life?

Sounds like it will suck

but will nerd operator be back?

I'm ok with it as long as they don't try to action movie franchise it. French Connection and Godfather had excellent sequels that neither film needed. Maybe Sicario will do the same.

is deakins back though?

Sounds like a bad idea. Liked the first one well enough though. Definitely don't think it needs a sequel.

...

Honestly I wouldn't bet on it. Directors like working with specific cinematographers, and they often form little partnerships. Villenueve has one with Deakins right now (and they're both doing Blade Runner), and I'm sure Sollima will probably bring in someone else. Just because Deakins did the first one I don't think means much.

>Villeneuve/Deakins/Gosling Blade Runner

only reboot I'm genuinely looking forward to

Did you watch the movie?

Not him, but her performance was pretty tight. Her character has probably run its course though.

>No Blunt
>No Villenueve
>No Deakins

cash grab trash

That sounds like an awful idea

>Blue & Orange

Character was a goody two shoes who whined about waterboarding or killing cartel guys on a busy highway. She was out of her element.

>mid tier Del Toro check
>no top tier Blunt
>no god tier Villenueve
go reddit mah
still tallking about this shit

How is Del Toro mid tier? Hasn't he won oscars too?

This

>How is Del Toro mid tier?
all actors who play in disney shit fliks like SW mid tier

That's what I'm talking about, her character ended with Sicario.

it's a good statement, but where is the proof?

lol Blunt is in that horrible snow white prequel, what are you even attempting here.

In retrospect, the movie would've been better if she refused to give in and Del Toro executed her then walk out

>film 101 student vague buzzword flinging
hurr look at my lack of critical thinking

Fbi not army

according to Blunt she had input on that ending. DESU sempai I think it would have been good to see her character die. Nothing against her but it would have made Del Toro make him look more determined.

Maybe he'll finish his meal this time.

So she ruined the end of the movie?

>no villenueve/deakins

I'm disappointed, and not expecting very much

Sollima is more interesting than Villeneuve

Reminds me of Jose Padhila

I hope the Hollywood machine doesnt completely destroy them

Also his dad was god tier

IMO, I think her not dying was a good ending. It showed how no matter how much you believe in the justice system or taking the moral high road, you got to step down and realize that it's not always the way to go.

Like a capeshit hero realizing he's got to kill the bad guy to win, instead of just locking them up again and again.

WHYYY

IT DOESNT NEED A SEQUEL. EVERYTHING WAS SAID WHAT WAS NEEDED, I DONT WANT NO DETAILS EXPLAINED, IT RUINS THE ORIGINAL MOVIE. WHY DOES EVERYONE WANNA CASH IN ON EVERYTHING, IS IT SO HARD TO CREATE A NEW ORIGINAL MOVIE

WHYYY

>I'm getting a boner
what did he mean by this?

he was a necrophiliac

>>Del Toro and Brolin confirmed
Awesome
>>Blunt is out
Fuck yes. Looking constipated for 2 hours is not acting.
>>Villenueve replaced with Stefano Sollima
Never liked Villeneuve but he haa experience. I guess I'll give him a chance.
>>title will be "Soldado"
Cool, "soldier" in a different language makes for a good title, ie. Le petit soldat, Ballada o Soldate.
>>written by Sicario writer Taylor Sheriden
Dropped.

Soldado sounds pretty based

we now judge movies by titles

fuck me

Are you literally fucking stupid?

Explain?

i really hope he's back. that guy is such a based actor. he was the best thing about s2 of fargo. i didn't even know that was him until like 3 episodes in.

youtube.com/watch?v=qXivFNyfm7U
He's the one reason I refused to watch Burn Notice, but yeah he's fucking based in Sicario and Fargo. Really hope he's back for the sequel

It's literally a sunset. Shut the fuck up

yfw its just 2 hours of josh brolos and benicio operating through mejico

How can you miss the point this much
She represents righteous order and justice, surrounded by chaos. She's always on the back foot, can't keep up, nearly killed often and shunned, ridiculed and taken advantage of by everybody.
Brolin, sicario and the soldiers, they understand how the world works. You don't bring it to heel using the power of love but with force and action.
Emily blunt finally breaking and signing is the surrender of any hope that order can defeat chaos. Her being defiant and getting killed would cheapen it. Even the most righteous figure of the law realizes she's cannot succeed; more than that, by her nature as an agent of order she cannot even survive, as the man said,
>sheep cannot live in the land of wolves
or whatever, I can't remember.

...

If based glasses operator is in it, literally 10/10

pls let this happen

>ywn slaughter spic scum on the bridge between juarez and el paso

jdimsa

>Villenueve replaced with Stefano Sollima

why would anyone watch this

is he not good?

No faggot, they're judging the movie title by the movie title.

>Blunt is out
honestly the only thing wrong with the first film,
count me in

Wilynew elevated what would essentially be a Seagal-tier operator shlock into kino.

Without him this is going to be straight-to-vod crap, Benicio or not.

i mean sollima

>Rodriguez
qt michelle rodriguez right?

Is he going to murder more innocent children in this one?

Mexican Brad Pitt.

It doesn't need a sequel. I have a feeling this isn't going to be any good.

not super hyped about the writer coming back. Sicario felt like it ended too soon, and the interesting stuff about keeping del toro's character mysterious and unexplained was improvised on set.

>innocent
>children of a cartel leader

Hah.

They will be future drug dealers so they had to die.

They were innocent. You shouldn't kill people just because you think they kinda maybe are sure to be criminals in the future

archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/68007511

No, they weren't.

>You shouldn't kill people just because you think they kinda maybe are sure to be criminals in the future

You're an idiot.

Then you'd miss her satisfying capitulation.

>being the offspring of a bad person automatically makes you guilty

I had rather not wait for them to kill hundred of people just to be sure.

They changed the title recently

as long as the soundtrack is as good as the first, i will watch it

youtube.com/watch?v=kkWl5ctiWyM

So we should kill people that are more likely to become criminals? Should we just kill all poor people and black people? But wouldn't that result in actually more deaths in the end?

The story wasn't em anything special. Take the storming into Mexico scene.

It's literally just 5 minutes if driving, yet it feels tense and had weight attached because of how it was shot.

Do you honestly think that kids of cartel leaders will have nothing to do with how their fathers earn their money?

Thats different. As they are sure they dont know about what their father does, they will eventually learn about it and will get into the trade.

This is not like the son of an one off killer but something akin to the mafia were the family is expected to join in eventually.

>But wouldn't that result in actually more deaths in the end?

Killing all black people would actually result in less deaths in the long-run.

People just balk at genocide and ethnic cleansing for stupid sentimental reasons, even though it's proven numerous times to be an effective solution.

Al Capone's son turned out just fine and never followed in his footsteps.

You can't just condemn people to death for reasons of happenstance. The kids didn't choose to be born to the cartel leader and we don't know that they were going to follow in his footsteps.

>mfw the operator porn is even better than sicario

Thats why i said akin.

The cartel are far more ruthless and they dont have anything resembling a moral code.

>a debate on ethics
>on Sup Forums

Capone's gang =/= cartels.

Seriously, look up how Mexican cartels actually operate rather than assume that all criminal organizations are the same.

That's what Arizona looks like during sunset dog

he would lose against the cartels?

That's New Mexico fambly

this. Unless they just replace her with another token women

Do u wuv waffles yaas i wuv waffles :3 do u wuv pancake yes I wuv pancake XD

>Villenueve replaced with Stefano Sollima
>Villenueve is out

DROPPED

first question in my mind.

get some taste fucking fag
