Are there any sports that are literally only popular in one country?

Are there any sports that are literally only popular in one country?

Using the term 'popular' loosely, as long as it has a dedicated fanbase that plays/watches it.

Gaelic Football and Hurling Ireland

sharting in marts

Obviously American football

Even though Goodell is trying to push on other countries

Australian rules football?

curling canada

not even close. american football is massive in mexico and canada

>foreigners literally think this is a common occurrence here

I literally only see it maybe once a month or so.

I don't know about mexico but we have CANADIAN football up here, none of that yank wank.

>CFL
>composed almost entirely of NFL rejects

nigger if toronto got a team it would immediately be one of the biggest teams in the league, you guys have been campaigning for one for years

This image is fucking stupid for the following two reasons:

1. He is not wearing appropriate clothing for climbing a mountain
2. He is not using appropriate safety gear while being that close to the edge

American Football, Australian Rules Football, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Basque Pelota, Far Leaping, Buzkashi, Penkak Silat, Sepak Tekraw.

Like I get that there are a lot of tourists here at the moment, but this is day 1 shit.

Every sport Australia is good at

you guys are the second best cricketing country right now after india

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fistball

I think it's only popular in Germany.

No fucking shit. It's "extreme ironing".

>day 1 shit

i've been here since 2010 and haven't heardo of half of those

Do you think that's because they're only popular in one country?

>United States Fistball Association

lol, what the fuck

seems like for a few of these sports some rando in the US finds it first, establishes an association and monopolizes it all

like the US cricket dude is fucking insane

:^)

kabaddi

It's the same over here

We have a british baseball league somehow

>be american
>watching live wrassling at the local walmart
>feel a rumbling in my stomach
>look for the closest bathroom
>it's 2 furlongs 6 yards two feet and six inches away and not mobility scooter accessible
>see on a nearby rack that XXXXXL sweatpants are ten for a dollar
>shart in mart

>activewear
>every sweatshirt is XXXL or larger

some people think the US cricket guy is a plant from MLB to keep the sport down

he keeps fucking up to get the US association suspended from play and firmly exercises its supposed monopoly on play (he tried to block the CPL and other T20 matches from getting played in the US)

now that there's a significant amount of us South Asian diaspora in the US though I think it will grow as a sport a bit, we may field a team eventually. there's a local T20 league in my area for instance. not sure first class will ever take off here though

australia because they are so isolated

Roller derby in the US?

I'm not sure if anyone else beyond us play footvolley (futevolei)

So that's what happened to Michael Moore

explain pablo

do you mean sepak takraw?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sepak_takraw

More interestingly what are the sports that are popular on many continents that aren't in the olympics

Seems weird dodgeball hasn't made it in yet

>dodgeball
>popular on many continents

I don't know whether this is a ruse or not.

I would honestly love an american's view of what sports they think are popular around the world. "American Football, Lacrosse, ultimate frisbee"

beach volley but with no hands

blondie got arse eh

Lol tell yourself that pigskin nigger

youtube.com/watch?v=N6nLnNwz898

dodgeball >>>> handball

8/10, good bait.

PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN

or montreal, or Vancouver. just not fucking calgayry

finnish baseball

Is it funded by the American MLB like ours is?

I kinda like baseball and I go to the games occasionally, but it's pretty blatantly an expansion exercise by the MLB.

I've never seen anyone other than the Brits watch speedway. Weird sport and Sky Sports are always pushing it.

only time I've ever seen it is in crash compilations

>speedway
Is it the same thing as flat track ?

We play Futevolei here but it became popular in other places nowadays.

I think this is a minor sport everywhere.

Korfball

britain - cheese rolling

Is lacrosse big outside of burgerland?

Posh kids play it here

I had never heard of it until I watched American Pie

Don't the Belgians play that too? I know they're just Dutch in denial.

>that arse
hnnnnngggghhh

it's fairly big up here

I think Australia's is the only one MLB runs. And the Dominican summer league is part of the minor league system. The Venezuelan summer league was shut down this year because Venezuela is a shithole.

Australian Semen Slurping Football

some special snowflake faggot "created" "teqball" and trying to hype the ever loving shit out of it, but it is a stretch to call it popular even here

LOL

We played it in PE a couple of times
