Ah, forgot about those guys. Listened to a split they did with some celtic folk artists a while back. I went through a neo-folk phase and then just lost interest in it entirely. IMO, it tends to be a pretty monotonous genre and not very many artists stand out. Will check out Songs from Suicide Bridge though, thanks

I don't think I'm in the right mood for this atm
but then again i havent really browsed the catalog in a while
they are not mindblowing or anything, it is naive to say that, but leaves is a neatly unique album for post-hardcore standards u kno
are you anime girl tho

bugskull maybe
fabulous diamonds- fabulous diamonds ii
what did you think of trickle-down theory? also amanita is cool but it wasn't as freewheeling as i wanted it to be, are most of their albums as straightforward as that one? i liked the thing they did with yo la tengo
(mostly) good folk music, bad emo music
woo- whichever way you are going, you are going wrong
raccoo-oo-oon- is night people
you might like marcus fischer
i like unwound because of the way justin uses feedback to make melodies and how they can go from being technical to noodly at a moment's notice
they also get really emotional without being too awkward about it
what is the hollow mountain like? also, how did you feel when you found out the pretty falsetto singing in NSB was Mehdi and not Solange?
listen to pumice- i'll take no chance near a volcano and polmo polpo- like hearts swelling
marcus fischer- public works
+croatian amor, jazzfinger, sissy spacek, windy & carl, six organs of admittance
>what did you think of trickle-down theory?
I loved it, that kind of new age-y freeform stuff is really hit or miss with me but i was in the right mood for it and it really struck a chord with me.
>also amanita is cool but it wasn't as freewheeling as i wanted it to be, are most of their albums as straightforward as that one?
no idea that's the only album i've heard from them. I've been intending to listen to more but desu the album really only picks up for me around the middle. dunno why but the psychedelic noodling really clicks around there
st francis duo - peacemaker assembly
Geinoh Yamashirogumi - ecophony gaia
hollow mnt is pleasant enough forest lullabies but is hasnt got much on most nsb output
lol i was confuse dby that for i while i thought i had gotten their solo aliases backwards
have you listened to JAMES BLACKSHAW youtube.com
...
+massive attack
have you heard darkside - psychic?
rec for both of you: richard youngs and simon wickham-smith- enedkeg
nice, im glad you enjoyed
idk i guess roy montgomery scratches the itch that i wanted bardo pond to scratch so not all is lost
but one of the guitar players in bardo pond plays on this song so they must have something cool going for them
youtube.com
thanks for the recs by the way
yea i like isengrind better for the most part, the arrangements are more dense and have more exotic instruments and stuff
i haven't listened to JAMES BLACKSHAW but i will later
