remix compilation

Sup Forums will chuckle, but the single most IMPORTANT album in my life was a dopey compilation album from MTV.

MTV's "AMP" was a late night electronica music video block dedicated to music videos, back when the network still aired those. A good decade before youtube (shitty realplayer internet videos were the only game in town), this is where I first saw Daft Punk music videos, Mr. Oizo's "Flat Beat", Chemical Brothers music videos, and became aware of Plastikman, Orbital, Photek...

A compilation album of the same name was released, which I consumed at the life-critical music-impressionable age of 13-14. I owned about ten CDs at the time, and now I knew I had to have more, and this type of music had to be what I'd focus on.

But this comp is just a watered down version of Off the Bone

Their only essential album desu. The only classic song not on it is Judy is a Punk.

You're a mega dummy and their first three records are all essential.

That was a damn good compilation and exposed me to a lot of stuff.

Also, "GRINDCRUSHER" on Earache Records. Best Metal/Grind comp ever.

might as well spring for this one these days

no more than a handful of unnecessary tracks in their (relatively short) catalog anyway

...

...

yes

This, along with the old Punkorama and Live Fat Die Young compilations Epitaph and Fat used to put out.

I don't know about other people on this board, but I like it.

Yeah they have a great quality ratio. The only song I outright dislike is that cover Golden Lights, the instrumental songs are just ok, but the rest is pretty outstanding.

Nice taste

hit and miss, but hits like a motherfucker

also in this vein

Pretty whack this hasn't been posted yet lads

This box set is so hard to find. Everyone that bought it did too many drugs and scratched the cd's up.
