What's it with Europeans and their shared mental illness?

They all seem to have this belief that the government is their mom.
"Please, government, protect me from myself. I'm not adult enough to make decisions for myself."

need some examples, bud

Mentally unstable people don't belong on the streets bubba

France banned businesses from serving customers free refills on soda.
"Please, government. Proect me from soda. I can't help myself!"

I think the better question is why Americans are obsessed with spreading freedom around the globe when everyone else is perfectly happy the way they are, and despite not allowing their citizens to drink alcohol until 21 and cutting off baby dicks for entertainment

They're used to absolutism, Us new worlders descend from people who got fed up with being fucked in the ass by some inbred feudal lord every single day.

there is nothing wrong with feudalism

...

What the fuck are you talking about

The US banned businesses from selling Kinder Eggs.
"Please, government. Protect me from Easter. I can't help myself!"

That's a good question. I would lower the drinking age to sixteen, or perhaps even fourteen. I would also release propaganda encouraging people to not circumcise their babies. Though, I would fear that if you banned circumcision, people would go out and get risky procedures done in the streets, like women who get abortions with coat hangers.

Actually, the ban of Kinder Eggs was lifted.

The US wants freedom from the government. We want the government to create freedom for us. We have the freedom to get an education without selling a kidney, go broke over a medical problem etc

The US has the freedom to yell nigger and have racial hate speeches without getting arrested.

Everyone has the freedom to get an education. We have the right to pursue happiness, not the right to happiness.
>The US has the freedom to yell nigger and have racial hate speeches without getting arrested.
Are you implying this is bad? Classic Sweden.

Where did I imply anything? It's simply a fact. You don't have the """fredoom""" to get an education when you have to get into a huge debt to get it.

oh boy just $75,000 what a great deal i'm so happy to have """""""""access""""""""" to healthcare.

why should you be allowed to attack someone just for their skin colour?

You have the freedom to go pay for that education. Education is a business. You don't have the right to someone's product or service. You can work two jobs and improve your pay if you want to pay for college.
Insulting someone is not an attack. Free speech is universal or its not free at all. Free speech protects unpopular speech, because popular speech doesn't need protecting.

>Education is a business
Education a basic right.

You just need a better healthcare plan. You can buy brand new insurance plan "Fat and Happy". It covers most of dieses like blood pressure, diabetes and bowel cancer. Buy it now for just $199.99 a month and win a prize - free 3 month plan for your kid!

>Education is a business
>You can work two jobs and improve your pay if you want to pay for college

Education is an investment for the future of your country. It's a basic right for every human being. Not something you use to scam poor kids out of huge sums of money.

>Education is a business
No it's a basic right which everyoene should have access to.

oh boy just $100,000 a month what a great deal i'm so happy to have """""""""access""""""""" to education.

its because of World War 2

We give education to children. Once they are adults, they have to pay for their own education. Some people don't want to go to college. Some people want to go to a trade school. Some people want to start a business without college education.

There is no college in the United States that charges $100,000 dollars for a month of education.

You make private elementary schools a business as well. Your public schools are complete garbage. You don't have the choice not to got to collage. Some simply can't afford it or go in knowing tens of thousands of dollars will be on their mind for a long time. It's not a freedom of choice. It's your current situation that determines your options. So I wouldn't call it freedom.

He's obviously exaggerating for comedic effect.

it's probably the only good decision this government has made
>american companies give free refills in their fast foods
>niggers can't stop drinking it and become obese
>let's forbid it so we don't become a fat fuck obese nation
what's the problem ?
>"Please, government. Proect me from soda. I can't help myself!"
more like "please government, protect me from fat people, i can't help barfing when i see them

>let me tell you about your country

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Please argue against me instead of spouting memes.

t. america

The problem is that you don't own other people's bodies, and they don't own yours. They should be able to gulp however much soda they want.
Yes. Private schools for children are good. Competition makes things better. You are correct in saying that we need to make our public schools better, though. It's the fact that it's damn near impossible to fire bad teachers that's holding us back.

holy fucking SHIT rare
if you are 100% not an anglo on vacation do an AMA

It's the damned unions.

If you want to gulp your weight worth of coca cola every day you still can though..

>The problem is that you don't own other people's bodies, and they don't own yours. They should be able to gulp however much soda they want.
t. literal sjw
muh body muh rules

i suppose we should also let them go naked in the streets, a father up the ass and injecting themselves with heroine in front of the children ? after all it's their body they do whatever they want with it don't they

feather*

>Yes. Private schools for children are good. Competition makes things better.

I'm not trying to argue what's best, simply the lack of freedom you lack in situations like this. In this case the kids don't have the freedom to choose their own school since the range of options depends on the parents' economical situation.

Yes. Public nudity should be legal. In a society in which people walk around in the nude, eventually no one would care. You're the SJW.
>No! No! Stop walking around naked! It offends me!
Also, yes. Heroine should be legal.

The funniest part is he only griped about education, not healthcare.
Americans confirmed for paying 75,000 dollarydoos for a band aid.

pls mommy protect me from evil lawn darts :((((((((((((((((((((((((

>"Please, government, protect me from myself. I'm not adult enough to deal with looking at all these nude people!."

>poor people can't afford things
Wow. How revolutionary a though. That's why people want charter schools back. Also, maybe people shouldn't have kids if they can't afford to educate them properly.

Huh? Yes. I was arguing for legalized public nudity.

>I read the front page of an Economics textbook once and now I know that all humans are rational economic actors with perfect information.
*incoherent Libertarian screeching*

>people are stupid
>so let's have a few people make decisions on the personal lives of millions
Ah . . . government is so great! It handles things so well, so consistently!

>he said this while tightening the abortion laws

Education is a human right. The US don't have that freedom and right which many western European countries have. It's simply the difference between free from government or government creating freedom for the people as I mentioned before. What's better or not is up to somebody's own opinion. But you lack a lot of freedoms because of your view on how a government should be, the same applies to us as well.

I having banned hate speech and higher taxes is worth it since everybody have the option to get the highest education possible without having to go into a huge debt, not being worried about money if they get ill or hurt, have at least 5 weeks of paid vacation, paid maternally leave for both the parents etc

There's obviously positive and negatives sides on both side obviously.

Well, I appreciate your fairness. I think we've reached an impasse in our discussion. Thanks for the civility.

hows bhutan

Why do you need to be sarcastic asses making baseless claims instead of actually engaging yourself to the discussion?

Alright, nice having this discussion with you. Not trying to pain the US worse than us. Just different with their own positive sides compared to us.

>Not trying to pain the US worse than us
Not trying to make the US look worse than us*

except we do not live in a society where people walk around in the nude, do we ?
and why do you want to live in such a society huh ? our society already exists with it's rules and morales which even if you are atheist are allegedly based on millenias of helleno-christian morales which i don't see why we should change it because it is perfectly fine and which do not approve of nudity for many actually quite reasonable reasons such as keeping dignity, keeping mystery or just not disgusting the people around you out of basic respect ?

if the west used to be a tribal society where we dress naked i would say yes to you, but we do not, and considering the current political situation i feel perfectly justified in asking you why you want us to move towards such a society, yes ? i question your motives completely

btw in our society the naked body is already sexualized, it is in everyone's mind now and for the foreseeable future so legalizing it now is only exhibitionism, you can not deny the effects it would have on many people especially children

btw why are americans either the prudest puritans or the most in your face anarchists ?

Wew all these yuropoors defending their nanny states

>europeans defending their nanny state

Is this place filled with meme spouting underage people that can't actually have a discussion?

americans won't have an actual discussion because they'd lose
americans are either "LOL EUROFAGS" or basically agree with Bernie or vacuumheaded

what is there to discuss? you live in a nanny state like it or not, you might think it's good but that doesn't change anything

Once they move here they tend to be embraced by the freedom that covers the land. My old neighbor moved here from the u.k. he hated guns and president bush. Today he owns 5 guns and voted for trump

It's ironic of you to claim that we refuse to have an actual discussion, and the proceeding to spout off insults and unfair generalizations. I could call you "A FUCKING LEAF", because most Canadians on here shit-post, but I don't. Why don't you go back and read the nice discussion I had with the Swedish poster.

>nanny state
>"the government regarded as overprotective or as interfering unduly with personal choice."
Seems only to be a nanny state from an american point of view and apparently from your 3rd world country as well.

>you might think it's good but that doesn't change anything

It changes everything.

Good for him then. I'm sure if you're old, have gotten enough money to be able to move to the US you would like it since money wouldn't be a problem and would solve most of his problems. Doesn't really change the fact that many people don't have that option available for them.

America should teach us the art of doublethink

>I NEED MUH GUNS TO PROTECT AGAINST THA GUBBAMINT!
>OUR GUBBAMINT SHOULD HAVE THE MOST POWERFUL ARMY AND COPS IN THE WORLD!

That's not double-think. That's common sense. If you're government is powerful, then you need powerful weapons to defend yourself against it. The government needs to fear its citizens and respect them.

your government*

suck shit

>insults
>I could call you "A FUCKING LEAF"
don't talk to me about insults

>unfair generalizations.
lol no

leafs understand american culture better than anyone
even americans
because to truly be a part of american culture is to not understand american culture

americans like to think they're unquantifiable
that they're speshul individewels who are in speshul circumstances and have anything in common with european cultures that america based its culture on

it's bullshit
ur the same as us
we know you

>300 pound pig farmers with shotguns can definitely take on a fleet of ac-130s
Uh huh

>Insulting someone is not an attack. Free speech is universal or its not free at all. Free speech protects unpopular speech, because popular speech doesn't need protecting.
then free speech has to go

>"the government regarded as overprotective or as interfering unduly with personal choice."
if you elect them to do such things it's still a nanny state, the only difference is that you want it to be like that, which is even more weird

>It changes everything.
no, it's still what it is

damn........ i really hate europe now

It changes everything because there's not a clear line of what a nanny state is and by our definition it isn't a nanny state while by your's it is. Thinking your point of view is the only right point of view is extremely ignorant.

Entertain this hypothetical, please?
>the government becomes tyrannical in some way
>let's say they massively violate freedom of speech with a new law
>"300 pound pig farmers" are upset
>they riot
>they attempt assassinations of the President and other governmental leaders
>the government orders the military to attack and control them
Do the soldiers listen? Do the generals? That means killing their families, their friends. No.
>the soldiers and generals revolt as well
>the government can try drone-striking Americans, but what tyrannical government wants to rule over corpses?
The point is, we were born by revolution, and if we have to die by it to, then so be it.

>Powerful government
>Powerful citizens
>Powerful country
hmmmmmmm

Good

Go snort a line or something

I'm off to bed lads

>leafs understand american culture better than anyone
>even americans
>because to truly be a part of american culture is to not understand american culture
Holy shit this is advanced jewery
>>>/leddit/

>says that no one should be insulted
>insults me
the irony

then pls explain to me what a nanny state is for you

Based Colombia fighting on the front lines of the debate for the side of freedom. You should immigrate to America. You'd fit right in here, friend.

I don't regard it as overprotective or as interfering unduly with my personal choices. Which what a nanny state is. Not harder than that. Night lads

what about americans and their shared neuroses?
>all life is sacred until it steps onto my property

Very few Americans would shoot someone for being on their property, but if someone were to walk on to their property, and then refuse to leave when asked to multiple times, they would take out their weapon, and they may use it, and they'd be perfectly justified in doing so.

It seems like it boils down to non-Americans caring about other people more than themselves, and Americans caring more about themselves than other people.

if you're still here, can you please explain to me what are those "personal choices" that you can have in sweden? because as far as i've seen there's regulations and bans for almost everything, you can't even buy some liquor at a normal price

well i will actually have to move to the US this year but i'm looking forward to come back, i don't have anything against the US tho, i just prefer living here

I guess that's why were so great. Although, people down south are really friendly. And Texans are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet.

You haven't lived in a country with full government control over you, taking away your freedom. What the fuck do you know? Freedom is always better than any socialist bullshit you babble.

i'm insulting you based on culture

also i didn't say nobody should be insulted. i said nobody should be insulted based on skin colour

>Being this mind blown

Besides, Jews don't go on reddit.
Being both unintelligent and lonely is rare in their race.

>nobody should be insulted but only on this specific thing that matters to me
yeah, sounds like something an european would say

>I'm insulting you based on culture
>not based on skin color
>there is no relationship between skin color and ethnicity

>free refills
Sounds like communism to me.

>paying for the right to use something is communism to europeans

It's not free if you're paying for it

Its not free if you are being taxed for it either

You pay a specific price for a specific volume of soda. Anything other than that and you might as well be licking Stalin's bumhole.

Most of those posting under the US flag on Sup Forums, are self-hating whites and millennial progressives of the following type:

youtube.com/watch?v=q2R2btO4MEo

They have adopted a very European mindset and are hoping for the Federal and State government to become more like a European counterpart.

"free refills" means that you're free to refill it as much as you please after paying for it, not that the product is free

no, you pay a specific price for an specific size of cup so you don't have to go an refill everytime you run out of soda

culture isn't ethnicity you utter dolt

>no
Yes.

You need to pay your soda, you filthy Marxist.

>1,3ml soda cup in the cinema = $2,2USD
>1,5ml soda bottle in the store = $0,8USD
that means i'm not paying for the soda, i'm paying for the right to use the refill machine and if i'm paying more or less for a different cup is only because of the size of it
