My only complaint is that you can hear Josh a bit too clearly, it almost sounds re-recorded

i hope they didn't change the glorious pen n pixel cover

yeah seems like pic related is the new album cover

what is this? is this good?

wait the new one looks flashier than the original that's even better

yes its very good. It's a mix of shoegaze, indie and postrock with a story about the christian end of the world.

You should try it! the album cover is cool but many say that it does not represent the music very well

Looks like they're going with a Cash Money Records design style instead of 'middle-school Photoshop assignment' this time around. That's something, I guess.

>Looks like they're going with a Cash Money Records design style instead of 'middle-school Photoshop assignment' this time around.
literally the same thing

also you're thinking of No Limit not cash money

Ah fuck me I always mix those two up, sorry mew.

I just looked into this and it's weird that I've never heard of this before now. It looks like it got pretty much universal praise. I'm going to listen tomorrow

literally the best christian rock record in existence

not to sound cliché but: listen to it on acid, it'll change your world

The remastered cover is so unbelievably trashy, how could you not love it?

glad its getting more exposure!
it's well deserved - the album is fantastic

Came to /mu to see if anyone noticed the reissue.
Not disappointed today, /mu. Well done.

Unequivocally the finest christian rock album ever, and even describing it as such is a massive disservice. It's fucking transcendant.
I got to review it for a couple of magazines back in 2001 (I am an old cunt) and the original production blew me away, can't wait to dig into the remaster.

"Ladies and Gentlemen we are playing with one guitar"

Oh, and the redux of the cover is fucking hilarious.

I've been meaning to listen to this a long time.

I heard Just As Was Told and fell in love with it. Time to order it.

Is it worth it to pick up the old version and the new mix?

they weren't exactly exclusive to no limit

New CD came with a download code for both the remaster and the original mix, but the original album shouldn't be too hard or expensive to track down if you want it.

gonna need a link

THEEEEEEEEEEESE
THEEEESE ARE THE DAAAAAAAAYS

(Texas is the reason)

Bump

Link?

this

SLSK bishnigga

SLSK bishniggas

Love this album brah

I meant a link to the remastered version its not on slsk

Where's the "PARENTAL ADVISORY" sticker

I remember listening to this shit for the first time like 8 years ago and being blown away, it's so fuckin' good. Really want to hear how they've changed the sound with the remaster.

I will absolutely never get over this album cover, it's so ridiculous

what would be a more "serious" album art?

The rest of the artwork tho

discogs.com/release/9773324-The-Texas-Jerusalem-Crossroads/images

it is funny how the shit is actually a very solid album kek.

Oh my fucking god

Discogs and Wikipedia list Into The Storm as being 28 minutes, but my download has it at only 14 minutes. Have I been getting duped all these years with a shit download? The only version of it I see on Youtube is also 14 minutes.

More people need to hear this album. It is truly a religious experience.

this is some Govt Plates-level shit

I'd buy the digital version and upload it, but it wont let me on the label pages selling it. Must be getting hammered. Someone will upload soon. Until then, enjoy some porn!

kek Drowned in Sound gave the remaster a 10.

It's a lot of silence before a hidden track. You're not missing anything; the 14 minute version just has less silence.

Pretty much always has been a 10.

Oh shit, someone needs to get the 4x Vinyl box set and upload it.

>The Deluxe Vinyl Box Set includes the new double album, plus the original Lift To Experience EP from 1997 which was only ever released in Texas on CDRs and the previously unreleased classic John Peel session from 2001

I pre-ordered it, just waiting for them to ship. Shit looks amazing.

>That Chilean flag in the background
Why tho

it's the texan flag

Listening to this for the first time thanks to this thread. This is actually amazing.

that's a Texas flag...

I had never seen a shooting star before. Then I listened to this album, and I became one. 10/10
