I know we all have nostalgia but the 90s TMNT films are all literally 0/10 cringefests.

Only worthwhile part is the Rocky and James Cagney impressions. Otherwise it's just fucking uncomfortable as shit.

Rififi is a fucking masterpiece in every possible apect

*aspect

B-BUT MUH NOSTALGIA

Honestly, they're bad films, but I feel there are actually films worse that could warrant giving it a 4/10.

Deseret [1995] by James Benning is GP + FL on PTP right now

Give me something to watch

anything before 1960?

nice quads

Bleeder (1999) is good if you're looking into more Refn. It's my personal favorite of his.

checked

That was my watchlist, which should I watch next. These are my tops and recents.

watch

none of the movies in your watchlist (that I have seen) are good

Given your love of epic films, I'm not really sure what to pick. Maybe Solaris (not George Clooney).

Out of those films, my personal choice is Bronson. Hail Caesar! is very mid-tier Coen Brothers but could appeal to you. And Only God Forgives is a very mixed bag but it depends on your personal taste. Go with Bronson.

...

Alright, I'll watch Solaris and Bronson next.

Shutup and post your top five Cary Grant flicks.

Mine would be;
>North by Northwest
>Only Angels Have Wings
>Charade
>The Philadelphia Story
>Gunga Din

Still yet to see His Girl Friday, amongst others.

ladies

letterboxd.com/Aroodrao/

>tfw blocked by this woman
>blocked because I commented on the 'So you want to be popular list"

>woman

I thought it was boring as hell

>this is the most popular letterboxd review of all time
>OF ALL TIME

Can't wait for cinemos

>it's a "user pretends to get triggered by someone who gets triggered" episode

Well what do you want me to call her? A human?

>woman

also what the fuck, she has me blocked too

...

>real human bean

Trans woman feminist socialist vegetarian juggler and pirate

HA

Jesus

nigga it's a profile, not a fuckin census form

A place on Sup Forums where we can discuss actual films. Anyway last movie I watched was A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. I enjoyed it and liked how there was a hint of several decades being mashed up into one and was quite surprised it was filmed in California rather than on location in Iran like I thought it would be.

tfw not a pirate

I'm not a big fan of vampires, especially the cliché ones that look too pristine and perfect.

Is it worth a watch though? I like body horror mostly so I don't know if it's worth checking out.

So you're saying you're a socialist?

YOU HAVE TO GO BACK

Jesus Christ

Welcome to the last bastion of actual movie discussion on the net
You should hit up the irc/discord as well as people upload movies for each other all the time as due to most of us being on KG/PTP/HDB/SC/CG/TIK we can get our pale hands on stuff pleb cunts can't
#lbxd
rizon.net
If you want a movie though be nice and upload something for us, or at least offer to do so

Not him, but it is a beautifully haunting piece for a budget/indie flick.
The lead actress has the perfect features to play a sad and lonely vampire.
I don't care for vampire/horror but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

film board when

...

Basically what the main actress is a qt and plays her role incredibly well, especially the scenes at night where she's a monstrous wraith like entity, stalking people from the shadows. I wouldn't really call it body horror though since it doesn't really fit in well with the definition. Felt more of a symbolism piece than anything.

>Some derivative cheapo garbage like Darling
>4 stars
heh

>Thread is about to die.
>Make an empty shitpost.
shygddt

>a movie with a neat aesthetic, a decent concept and fresh directing style

damn right it deserves 4 stars

It was far from dying at that moment, and I wasn't shitposting. What was said is absolutely intended and true.

>neat aesthetic
>decent concept
>fresh directing style
Is this satire? No, of course not. You're just an embryo easily impressed.

>Thread is dying AGAIN.
>Make Yet Another Shitpost

letterboxd.com/evolution_rex/

>an embryo easily impressed
just like you my friend, just like you

How many films do I have to have logged before I can post here?
I have anxiety issues so don't want to post my profile here yet.

Any amount of films is good don't let the IRCfaggots discourage you from posting here.

3,986

more than 1000 otherwise you are an embryo and should be called out as one

the point of Sup Forums is anonymity. posting your profile is just stupid

>posting your profile in a general based around sharing your profile is stupid
kill yourself you stupid fucking embryo

fuck off faggots

This is a bully free zone

>ACTUALLY FACTUALLY SUGGESTING Sup Forums HAS EVER BEEN ABOUT ANONYMITY
THere's only very shallow anonymity if you think usernames = no anonymity.
Bet you don't even know how to check for samefag in 2016?

Reminder that anybody that has ever called you a pleb or an embryo or a cuck knows little about film themselves, and is most likely a teen without many friends. You can safely ignore every single person that posts in these threads/on this board, and just watch and enjoy films as you want.

Threads are dying when they are on page 10, not when a post doesn't happen in 20 minutes.

>trying to 'no u' me
>being the guy who thinks Darling is an 8/10
Yeah, whatever

but posting your profile is like tripfagging

whatever. your dumb

peer pressure is a healthy part of a well-rounded social life
be it online or in real life
trying to claim immunity because of "muh feelings" is fucking pathetic and you should kill yourself
plebs should admire and respect the patrish because that is what they should aspire to
not staying a fucking embryo or whatever you faggots call it
get a clue, idiot

>your dumb
>your

At least a couple thousand would be an adequate number. Of course, it' isn't the case for 95% of the ones already here.

>Any amount of films is good
LMAO. From the collection of "Things that someone below 800 would say"

The b in /lbg/ is for bully :)

see

>bully free zone
m-muh hugbox
go back to you-know-where

>the torn curtain of evolution_rex

your all dumb

Nobody in these threads or even this board is not an embryo/patrician

>he thinks darling is anything less than an 8

have fun not appreciating film :)

Taste or status isn't based on how many films you have watched, past say, 1500 or so films.
It really comes down to why and how you watch films.
It also comes down to what kind of films you watch.
All this posing and posturing with your egos is completely ridiculous and you should all feel bad about it.

what

Are you simply insane or is this bait? It's a fucking average low-budget- with 'artistic' pretensions- film. The world is full of them.
And most, like it, are amateur garbage, that could only impress someone without any cinematic knowledge or taste. Not that many people would be bothered to watch something so unappealing in the first place.
Maybe a bit too rigorous, but I say 2/10.

It doesn't even make any sense when you're posting anonymously

Like this guy saying about peer pressure, in real life you're peer pressured/bullied by a guy who is bigger than you or whatever.

An anonymous online post comes from anyone, regardless of status or their actual film competence. It honestly just feels like the people that get bullied irl using it as an outlet

What are some essential books for movie fans?

most of the people in this general are embryos and that is fine because they all share recs and are trying to grow as avid film watchers
embryo is thrown around as a derogatory term but it is actually a positive one because it really just another way of saying someone is passionate about their hobby
tl;dr embrace your inner embryo and share recs or fuck off

>tfw I started the embryo meme accidentally

t. embryos with a below 3000 number trying to trick others into conformity with psychological platitudes

JOHANN

Do you like prose or do you just want some meme shit?

...

what if you've seen 3000 trash films, don't care about the classics or any actual works of art and are just in it for the entertainment value?
checkmate athiests

You're posting this anonymously

it has no weight when we have no idea who you are, you probably have under 1500 or whatever films yourself

is there even anyone in these threads that has over 3,000 features?

both are fine. I just got Stalker and No Longer Human

...

>IM SMARTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE

dude you look dumb, that flick is pretty cool. He likes a movie that you dont so what your just some hipster faggot that cant get enjoyment from things anymore. Kill yourself you sperger

Extremely hypothetical strawman. The case with someone on a higher number is usually not focused on one 'genre'.

how was miles ahead?

>this whole post
>all the desperate projecting
Always cute when some white-knight appears to defend the honor and floral virginity of another embryo.
This fucking general

letterboxd.com/Synt/

Yo, user who was all pissy about #Horror getting such a high rating by me, did you ever get around to watching it? What did you think?

Yeah, me :)

It doesn't matter user, you'll get made fun of no matter what.

To find the ones that are good
