This is the discussion board.
that's a bad genre of music and you should feel bad
also don't try to "get" into genres, either you're into it or you're not.
fuck off
So I'm not supposed to ask for music suggestions on a music board?
What the fuck does "liberal" even mean in this context?
Fucking murricans can't into words.
No, that's why we have a wiki in the sticky and there are request boards. There are lots of websites for this.
>you're fucking retarded
not really...there's three bands on the one site and nothing on oi! on charts. /r/ is shit for anything other than porn.
Anti-Nowhere League - We Are the League
Cock Sparrer - Shock Troops
Angelic Upstarts - 2000000 Voices
A Global Threat - What the Fuck Will Change?
The Templars - The Return of Jacques De Molay
A few albums to start you off. Though, like the other guy said, i'm not sure what you mean by liberal in this context. Listen to the music if you like it, sorry if politics ruin it for you.
yes? never said i'm not.
why are you greentexting?
nothing for noodle armed pussies in masks or muslims
fucking trump ruined the world
I've become retarded because of your post
precisely, antifa is fascist
>also don't try to "get" into genres, either you're into it or you're not.
That's just false
I can definitely help here.

"Backlash" stands out as some of the best American Oi! ever put to record. A gruff melange of melodic riffs played at mid-tempo with shouted lyrics eschewing baldfaced bigotry in favor of American patriotism and white skinhead unity define these Philadelphia bootboys' sound. Too many highlights to choose from, but I'm particularly fond of "New Glory", "Red, White, and Blue", "Robin Hood" and "Backlash". The song "Loyal and Brave", which begins with echoed acoustics before upping the tempo to quicker paced Oi!, breaks the formula we're so used to on many skinhead Oi! records; the track concludes just as it preludes, but that's no mark against it.
While these guys were unapologetically white power, their music is executed with so much passion, conviction and good taste that this album must find its way in anyone's Punk collection, Nazi or not.

Close Shave:

A nightmare version of the English white working classes, all fighting and drinking and Sunday Sport, soundtracked by the only music that could possibly capture a nightmare version of the English white working classes…
OI! The tunes are hard and suitably Condemned 84-esque, the lyrics entertaining and the sound nice and hard with the bass growling right up at the front. Just listen to 'Singalong a Shave' if you want a summary.
Rixe
Battle Zone have a sense of musical sophistication and songcraft that far outstrips other RAC bands of the era like No Remorse and English Rose, indeed some of these songs are so good it makes me wonder why this band are relative unknowns - but then I suppose they were playing in a crowded market. It’s a sophistication that sadly doesn't cross over into the lyrics department but ho hum. Battle Zone are a bit of a funny band in this sense with vocalist Alex Ellui later renouncing racism (and politics of any kind) when he formed two new international versions of the band: Battle Zone Peru based in Peru where he currently lives and Battle Zone USA with Phil and Perry of The Templars, two projects that sadly for Oi! fans haven’t amounted to any new records. You gotta feel a bit bad for the guy really, it must be hard fighting to keep the spirit of your old band alive all the while kicking yourself for some regrettable lyrics you wrote back in the day. Not that he needs my sympathy or anything…
Things get head achingly confusing here when the band whip out a cover of Bob and Marcia’s old reggae tune ‘Young, Gifted and Black’ entitled ‘Young, Gifted and White’ complete with saxophone. Most amusing to me is ‘Rent Boy’, bashing gay skinhead fetishists - ‘You claim to get turned on by our style of dress!’
The opening track strikes me the most; it's hard hitting with bulldog power and with Alex’s gravelly bark at the forefront, it makes you feel ready for war. Throughout the quality never wavers - this is as hard as Close Shave but boasting tighter musical arrangement. You gotta dig that rather surreal album cover too.

Would you like some Post-Punk with your Oi!?
Now here's a band with a fascinating bit of history. Before getting elected to the Front National's central committee in 1997, Robert Ottaviani began his career here as Ultime Assaut's lead vocalist. He has since attempted to distance himself from his past:
fabius.zeblog.com
Decking the cover is a crude illustration of an Arno Breker statue raising a sword in front of a blazing silhouette and some classical architecture.
Characteristic of most releases from Rebelles Européens, gritty reverbed rhythms drive the music like their fellow countrymen Légion 88 or Chauves Pourris. The songs here are consistently midtempo and have a strangely ethereal quality which ends up soundling like a French version of "Second Empire Justice" by Blitz. The mostly Oi! A-side is a complete drag, and all too many songs string you along with a few neat intros, but then drag you down in the conventional third-rate Oi! you're tired of hearing.
The music becomes much more interesting when the album delves deeper into Post-Punk on the B-side. The closer "L.V.F." has some neat Ska strokes while "Chômeur 80" bursts forward with Hardcore energy. Unlike the French pirate vocals of Légion 88's Alain or Kontingent's Laurent, Robert has this intoxicated, off-key moan which ranges from tolerable to grating. "Segneur Barbare" is perhaps his best performance since he keeps it at a volume just above a whisper. The instrumentation helps, too.
Highlights: "Guerriers Païens," "Chômeur 80," "Paris," "Segneur Barbare," "Les Cosaques," "L.V.F"

Imagine a RAC band playing a glorious fusion of skinhead Oi! and 2-Tone Ska all while being fronted by a wheelchair bound Irani.
You would have Evil Skins, founded by Iman Zarandifar aka "Sniff" or "Fesni" on vocals, Regis Kerhuel aka "Régis du Havre" or "Madskin" on bass, William Deligny, aka "P'tit Willy," on guitar and Cornette on drums. Even stranger, P'tit Willy would later become a Hare Krishna and strict vegetarian, although he's kept on contact with Sniff and they still are good friends. The band had some blood in their history. Years after they broke up, bassist Régis Kerhuel, member of Jeunesses nationalistes révolutionnaires, murdered a young Mauritian citizen named James Dindoyal on 18 June 1990.
The Evil Skins were an RAC band, a fact that makes their dabbling in 2 Tone somewhat confusing, but it seems the far right members of their subculture did attach themselves to the scene simply because of the skinhead element that had always been a part of ska. If you've seen the documentary World of Skinhead you'll remember the vivid recollection of Paul Burnley from No Remorse about the sieg heil chaos at a Bad Manners gig in London and Madness, like many bands of the era, attracted a National Front following. And let's not forget that Suggs was once a friend of Ian Stuart and roadie for Skrewdriver!
Politics aside, there's no denying the power of 'Docteur Skinhead' as one of the greatest fusions of jolly brass-based 2 Tone and Oi!, along similar lines to the 4-Skins classics 'Seems To Me' and 'Plastic Gangsters'. Why couldn't ska punk have been a movement of skinheads rather than MTV friendly suburbanites?

Combat 84:

KICK ‘EM STAB ‘EM CLUB ‘EM UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE
‘Orders of the Day’ is one of the hardest substances known to man, an aggravated assault with thick, slamming riffs and nasty yob vocals. This is brutal pit music that provokes dangerous reactions; if C84 aren’t promoting brotherly skinhead unity then they’re promoting smashing people’s heads in. It’s badass as fuck and so damn heavy.
This is one of the most successful musical recordings in any style in any time period. Get it today and feel the power! But it’s thuggish and ultraviolent, so be warned.
No Remorse:
youtube.com
‘This Time the World’ is essentially hate with a beat. The principle of evil made musical. A vortex of vulgarity that threatens to- ok, I’ll stop now. What I’m trying to say is that this is an 100% scuzz classic. How can rock ‘n’ roll be more fucked up?
No Remorse may not be as hard as, say, Condemned 84 but they are twice as ugly. These songs are vicious, degenerate, violent and just downright nasty pieces of work. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth but you’ll be hard pressed to find hate rock that can match the imposing power of something like ‘Hail the Order’.
If you feel confident then check ‘This Time the World’ out. It ain’t pretty, but you won’t forget it in a hurry! But if you want songs with the exact same messages as 'Bloodsucker' and 'Race Traitor' that your friends won't judge you for liking and is a bargain in the HMV two for ten quid sale then try 'Death Certificate'.
Oi sucks
Get into fashwave instead
Razors Edge:
youtube.com
If you've heard one album by Razors Edge you're heard them all. Hell, if you've heard one song by Razors Edge you've heard them all, but these ridiculous levels of repetitiveness doesn't stop their RAC ravings from being somewhat compelling. I'd say this album is so bad it's good, except it's actually just genuinely good! Covering "White Riot" was a rather clever choice, as the lyrics morbidly work in an RAC context, something Joe Strummer wouldn't be best pleased to hear (though, as a side point, it's weird to think he was still walking around when this was released). "Streets of Oldham" and the Mosley tribute "Blackshirts & Roses" would be the overall highlights, meanwhile the obligatory Ian Stuart cover in "Red Flags are Burning" wasn't particularly necessary. Particularly considering earlier on the album is a rip-off of said song called "Tearing Down the Flag", which really makes you wonder why they bothered... but then you can't really expect this to make sense. And that's why I like it.

>Oi!
LOL. And people bitch about meal
I'm so glad these punk threads are so anti-liberal now. I want to cash in on this trump era punk rock fuck the politically correct vegan anti flag horse shit cancer that is "punk" and start a band making trump rock.
Fuck off
Sham 69, Cockney Rejects, The 4-Skins, Cock Sparrer and Angelic Upstarts - thase are Oi! rock legends
Please explain what you mean by "No liberal shit"!
Cock Sparrer want nothing to do with politics liberal or conservative and Thomas Mensforth or "Mensi" has openly declared himself to be Socialist
The Business didn't really declare what part of the political spectrum they sided with or if they had any politics at all but I met Micky Fitz before and he made it very clear that he had no tolerance for nazis!
Nazi skinheads should follow the example of their idol Adolph Hitler!
