How was this not the best team of all time? Literally every position except GK was a world class household name. More legends than Madrid's 'galacticos'.

>le serie a is the best football fedora man

fuck outta here

it was

2013 Seahawks would destroy this pussy team

>Lost against Liverpool after being 3 - 0 up

Oh my

meh, most of those "players" were way past it, 2011 barca would have trashed them

In their respective primes
Dida = Valdes
Maldini > Abidal
Nesta > Pique
Stam < Puyol
Cafu > Dani Alves
Pirlo > Xavi/Busquets
Seedorf > Iniesta/Kaka
Crespo > Pedro
Shevchenko > Villa
No counterparts for Gattuso and Messi

Fuck, meant Kaka/Seedor > Iniesta
Or make it Kaka < Messi

Isn't this the team that choked away a 3-0 lead to Liverpool in the Champions League Final?

>discussing poverty ball when real football is on

kek

what the fuck happened to italian clubs? Milan and Internazionale used to be top tier. always between the favorites to win CL not long ago. Now they are way weaker. Even other italian teams got weaker. WTF HAPPENED? I miss those times. I loved to watch milan back in the day.

What's the point in comparing players in their prime when half of that Milan team was past it? Do you also consider 2010 a GOAT team? (Ronaldinho, Beckham, Pirlo, Nesta, Seedorf, Gattuso etc)

Also
>Seedorf > Iniesta/Kaka
xD

The only player "past it" was Crespo, ancient Maldini and Cafu were still better than Abidal or Alves in 2011. Pirlo was actually before his best years in 2005 and Xavi was better in 2011, but Pirlo surpassed him later. Shevchenko, Gattuso, Seedorf and Kaka were at their primes then.
>Seedorf > Iniesta
Well, there are two Seedorfs, the big match one and the league game one. Clarence at his best and trying hard was better than Iniesta ever was, too inconsistent though.

>Even other italian teams got weaker

Financial crisis hit Italy hard. That's it pretty much.

Worldclass

>Gattuso, Crespo
Decent. Overrated.

>ancient Maldini and Cafu were still better than Abidal or Alves in 2011.
Lol you idiot. Maldini was pathetic and only gets to play because he's the symbol. His offesnive game was non-existent. Cafu was never good.

m8 you're sounding like a teenage barca bandwagoner right now

Yeah. not this one. but the rest did.

>le reddit passing man with a beard is better than Xavi
howling

How good was Maldini's offensive game though?

Pirlo hit his peak very late (mid thirties playing for Juve) but at his best he was far superior to Xavi "le pass to it to Iniesta" Hernandez. Actually, Xabi Alonso has always been better than Xavi.

He wasn't an offensive fullback by any stretch of imagination, but still contributed to transition and provided to balance to Cafu who was storming the wing on the other side. I think Maldini's defensive qualities don't need to be discussed. Also scored a goal in CL final.

Pirlo was a great midfielder in his prime but massively overrated by normies and redditors for being le classy passing man. Iniesta in his prime was better than both Pirlo and Xavi though, because he had equally good passing but also great ball control, dribbling, and a better eye for goal, especially in important games.

>massively overrated by normies and redditors
A rare case of being rated appropriately, there was no other player in that generation who could dictate tempo and deliver 60 metre precision passes regulary while also being a set piece specialist. Iniesta is advanced midfielder, can't really compare him to Pirlo.

Zidane

Again, another advanced midfielder, comparison to Iniesta is more fitting. As far as playmaking goes, Zidane didn't have Pirlo's passing range or ability to take the ball from defence and distribute.

>he unironically compares iniesta and zidane to pirlo

I like this team better
