Now that the dust has settled, what is the best track?
Now that the dust has settled, what is the best track?
The Trial
in the flesh.
One of My Turns
Another Brick in the Wall...
PART 1!!!!111!!!
and also 3
I like Mother.
Patrician taste
None of them that album sucks
These two
Vera and Bring The Boys Back Home are the only bad tracks desu
You seriously don't like Vera? Why?? Bring the Boys Back home I get because it can be a bit much. But Vera is great man.
didn't mean to reply
I never really understood why people don't like these tracks. Is it because of "filler," which they're really not?
I actually kinda like Bring The Boys Back Home, it flows nicely into Comfortably Numb.
I just don't get Vera. It barely moves the story forward and it's not very good musically.
Run Like Hell and Hey You were always my favorites
Goodbye Blue Sky
WE DONT NEED NO EDUCATION
1. Comfortable Numb
2. The Wall pt. 2
3. In the Flesh Pt. 1
Either Goodbye Blue Sky or Mother
One thing I've always wondered is why Wish You Were Here is Sup Forumscore but The Wall isn't. The Wall is so much better, anyone know why it isn't?
This
Because it's too popular.
The Wall is, by and large, hated on Sup Forums for whatever reason. I personally think it's fantastic. Probably in my top 25 even.
Their best albums are live bootlegs from like 1970-1972 tho...
Because anything that is percieved is as good by more than ten people is seen as bad by the pretentious, no taste hipsters that want to feel
special
OOOOOO I NEED A DIRTY GIRRRL
waiting for the worms.
Hey You
I love the part of the album with Hey You, Is There Anybody Out There, and Nobody Home in a row. Feels so fucking lonely.
As a kid, I used to be obsessed with Hey You. That Gilmour solo is quite wrenching, even at the least it's quite predictable.
probably because of a mix of it being popular and how it was a massive hit makes it a disproportionately good target to hit on.
Mother is the only right asnwer
Because it's not actually so much better.
Nobody Home and Mother
The Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick In The Wall/Mother
IF I HAD MY WAY
I'D HAVE ALL OF YOU SHOT!
>of course mama's gonna help build the wall
Mother is their most underrated song
the whole album is a long ass song
mother, in the flesh, hey you, comfortambly numb and the trial are my favorites
Goodbye Blue Sky
Thin ice is underrated desu
Goodbye Blue Sky
because wish you were here is a million times better than the wall
patrician taste. came here to post these
Goodbye Blue Sky or Waiting for the Worms
Correct.
The Wall is the worst of their 70s prog albums. That's not to say it's a bad record, just not as good as the other 3. I always thought of it as Roger Waters first/best solo album.
1 In the Flesh?
2 The Trial
3 Hey You
"Look Mummy. There's an aeroplane up in the sky."
Comfortably Numb
strong contenders
Mother is the one that hits hardest, to such a level that I usually skip it because it's uncomfortable to hear. So I guess it is the best.
pink floyd sucks
That's a well thought out and delivered concise review. Thank you for that insightful look in to the subject matter. You've enhanced all of our lives. Bravo, good sir. Bravo. (slow clap)
I GOT 13 CHANNELS OF SHIT ON THE TV TO CHOOSE FROM
For me it's Mother, Don't Leave Me Now, Hey You, and the ending of Bring the Boys Back Home.
The Wall hits like a fucking train, and if you can't hear at least a little bit of yourself in it you aren't paying attention.
The Show Must Go On.
The Wall is the epitome of pained paranoia.
>I've got a strong urge to fly
>But I've got nowhere to fly to
Primus sucks
Another brick in the wall part 1,2 & 3
comfortably numb, or goodbye blue sky
yes
Confortably Numb
The Trial
In the Flesh
IT FILLS ME WITH THE URGE TO DEFECATE!
Don't Leave Me Now
So fucking underrated.
all of disc 2 side 1 is essential lonelycore
Best song ever created by pink floyd is shine on you crazy diamond
Even Bring the boys back home?
