I heard the first few songs from Ágætis byrjun and refused to listen to them ever again

I only know that piano tune thats used in adverts and documentaries and ting
Bach's Actus Tragicus.
you can skip Von at first. Then just go chronologically. AB and () are the best, though

The melody that comes in around 2:15, in all of its simplicity, is the most beautifully tragic thing I've ever heard.

Begin with Takk... since it's by far their poppiest/most accessible. It's p. good. Then move on to () which is their saddest work. Then from there, it doesn't really matter as along as you listen to Ágætis byrjun last. It is their magnum opus. You have to work your way up to it.
You can skip Von and Kveikur.
Pure aching beauty? It's a toss up between

Honest to god Blonde Redhead by DNA. I lost my shit the first time i heard it. No song has ever made me so emotional. It's a shame since most people think it's noise upon first listen. The bass line is the most beautiful musical phrase I've ever had the pleasure to listen to

always makes me feel depressed
no joke who knew a glam rock band could write something so thought provoking

Back when I was just getting into music, Dream Theater's Octavarium did that for me. There's an alternate version out there that replaced the original ending with a flute that repeated the intro sounds. Even though my music tastes have developed further, it'll always be pretty special to me.
Art Garfunkel has the most beautiful voice ever.
This song gives me goosebumps everytime.

This soundtrack is probably one of the best I've ever listened to. Fucking love the game too. It's one of my all time favorites.
This might be the most hauntingly beautiful song I've ever heard
