True, I rarely see high rollers hating on cheap gear but the reverse is way too common. A nice finish is enough to trigger the average squier user into an autistic rage.

how do i set up a guitar like a pro would?
got a spare squire i'd like to experiment on, so it's nothing bad if i fuck it up.
is there a guide on youtube that shows everything they do? sure i can tighten screws and truss rods, but something like internal work, neck and fret adjustments?
Evan Cook
thats a cool finish, too bad they're overpriced as fuck and have design flaws
Dominic Hernandez
Anyone know what guitar this is?

>I rarely see high rollers hating on cheap gear but the reverse is way too common
You must not post here but once a decade. Its nothing but hate for the poorfags. Ibanez, esp ltd, pft anything not a gibson or fender gets hated on here.
But when someone points out the design flaws, pricing being obviously inflated, or they can play a cheap guitar better than you can play an expensive one, well, when the shoe is kn the other foot it's nothing but kicking and screaming. Can't handle their own bants.
Makes people that have been around stop coming here and limits the /gg/ to shitposters and 12 year olds.

Modern Player Series. This kind of looked like one of those with the black plastic insert on the headstock.

I have 4 guitars, guitars that are practical for me, and I owned a few more beyond them. I love giving life to pawn babies, but some have irreversible problems, be it the previous guy missed a couple things or she took too much damage.

Now that, there, may require a few orders from stewmac for your tools.

This.
Get a fret rocker, and a radius guage. Soldering iron would help too, for the electronics. Contact cleaner is a good thing to have handy too.

fender telecaster thinline custom, or some knockoff/variation of that
Unless you play in a touring band or session on big records, the real ESP isn't worth it in my opinion. The 1000 series will serve you well and are pretty much as close as you can get to a real ESP for less then half the cash most of the time. Hell, even the LTD is stage worthy, a whole bunch of musicians use them.
Don't know what year model you had but lots of things have been fixed with the LTD vipers over the years, actually pretty much all LTDs in general. The locking tuner brand has been switched out, the neck dive has been seen to by relocating the strap on the base of the neck joint and the bridge hardware has also seen an increase in quality. The only bad thing I have to say about them is that the nut is a bit shit. Not exactly a hard fix. They're still made in Korea and they are still very high quality instruments that stand up next to the ESP variant. The sub-400 series are also excellent.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter too much so long as you are getting decent quality hardware. Nowadays, you can walk into a store and spend a couple hundred bucks and walk out with a decent guitar. Quality control has gone through the roof compared to say, the 90s, where as cheap guitar was a cheap guitar.
The law of diminishing returns arc has gotten ridiculous steep over the past 15 years and that's such an awesome thing to see. It means beginners can still get a great guitar for not a lot of money which will in turn encourage them to keep picking up the guitar and sticking to it.
It's a great time to be alive boys.
They hardly ship anything to Australia anymore mate. On top of that, the government's going to be putting GST on everything come June or July or something, so that's gonna kill getting stuff on the cheap from the yanks. Also, not a good idea buying used if you can't go there and test it out yourself to check the condition, in my opinion.
Colton Perez
Who /tombrady/ here?

In about a week I'll be getting first ever guitar with a tremolo. Specifically it's the Original Edge trem.
What are some things to know and tips and hacks for it?
Cameron Jones
I stick an empty bullet casing under the trem when I do string changes. An AA battery works too. If you want to jam it and make it behave like a hard tsil, a stack of pennies and a little tape to hold them together works fine in a pinch.
There are plenty of guides to aid in setting the trem right. Isnt too hard.
Aiden Perez
the locking tuners were switched out to worse tuners, the strap button is still on the back, so the dive won't be fixed(it's the same on mine), and the last two frets are still unusable(imo) and just knocking the neck pickup out of its sweet spot
otherwise, they did improve them by getting rid of those shitty compensated nuts. worst thing they ever did, fuck Earvana original edge trems are great, nice
Carson Powell
It's excellent for throwing at people you don't like.

>Current basses Washburn XB105 with a modded bridge. Upgrading pickups then tuners next. Ibanez GSR 200 got it as just a goofing off guitar to drag around and play on really. Took a cieling fan blade to the headstock and the electronics are falling apart. >Current amp and pedals Acoustic B450 MKII- still need to grab the extension speakers for it. Got it because it's loud and flexible. Behringer BDI21- got it to try out a foot based pre- amp. It does okay at what it does but I know now that I need something with more tone shaping. But it was cheap so. >Dream guitars USA Spector XL 5 string and a MM Stingray. >Dream amp and pedal I'm pretty okay at this point with my amp. I really want a Darkglass tho. Out of all the DI/Preamps that I've heard this one gives me boners even over the Sans Amp DI, and gets closest to my ideal tone.
r8.
Anthony Russell
I feel the same way. There was a time when I really wanted an Ibanez S guitar, but they pickup rings and shit just looked so bad!
Dominic Myers
i use the b7k for just about everything, I run my pedal train into one and then to FOH for gigs, i used the character series VT DI from Tech 21 more these days though because i'm doing a lot of desert music shit
Hunter Walker
I'm trying to grab one off the used market but I don't see any so I just assume they're fucking awesome.

how do i get a qt country gf like emmy /gg/

The sansamp is definitely more of a rock pedal than the b7k. I want to get a b7k now that I have an active bass and want to play metal again.
Thomas Baker
Mates a few days ago I got an old violin for free but haven't touched since I only play guitar.
Can I safely tune it like a bass so I don't have to learn scales for violin without breaking the strings?
Blake Brooks
>going to be putting GST on everything Fuck; this is why I vote LDP
Carson Rodriguez
literally dejavu: the thread
Aiden Watson
The b7k just seems more flexible and hits the right frequencies for my style as a. bassist both clean and driven styles. I'm glad I didn't buy first generation tho. Like 2 months later they dropped the ultra.
John Roberts
Viper man checkin in. You can expect to see me around here a lot more often. Every single day I will report in with my Viper. Every. Single. Day.
Noah Anderson
Violin is in G D A E, so tuning down would be your only option without breaking the strings, however the instrument would probably be unplayable.
Nathan Hernandez
Enjoy it, man.
I still think your guitar has cancer.

Happy NGD, user.

Apparently Ground Guitar lists Hetfield's Grinch Viper as a 7-string baritone, which it clearly isn't.
Kayden Walker
didn't they use 7s on St. Anger ?
Bentley Evans
You can't deny it's a meme guitar. It's the first thing every kid with money buys at Guitar Center. Aside from being an A7X fanboy I got it because high end Schecters and particularly Sustainiac models are not something common to find in my country.
>next time you're shopping for a new leather fedora Fug >be 13 >Start listening to Avenged >Friend notices this, says she's gonna find me a hat like Synyster's for my birthday >Forgets about it and I never got it >Few years later, fedoras become a meme and are associated with neckbeards >tfw dodged a bullet
Jackson Allen
As far as I know, they just used 6 strings for the most part, but James did use one of these LTD H-307s for Some Kind of Monster. You can see in the documentary they did, most of their stuff was pretty stock, just tuned down.
