Also, check Happy Accidents by Rascal Reporters and Blueberry Boat by The Fiery Furnaces.
And The Glass Handed Kitties has probably more dream pop influences but it's worth to check out.

I think the only song really approaching "cute" on Octopus is Think of Me With Kindness, and even then it's really more cozy than cute.
No problem, there's a lot of 80s Symphonic Prog from Japan with female vocalists that are worth looking into, like Pageant, Mr. Sirius, or Teru's Symphonia.
