patrician dsbm
This is some good shit
never gets old
Once a Great Man is god-tier
Good color scheme going on in this thread.
dude ive been after the lunar aurora / nordlys split for so long now
nice choice senpai, disheartment is hands down the best black metal song ever (I know it's not in SD)
Entire album is god tier. In the Falling Snow is also pretty good.
this sucks
>not the Birkenaeu cover
the cult following surrounding this album is so bizarre and unexplained
>stop posting colored photos
is abruptum black metal
nice
This album is so fucking forgettable it hurts.
>sweet xasthur is coming to town
>oh it's the gay acoustic thing he's doing
I really considered going just because I wanted to see Malefic, the man himself. But I searched up the live sets and the bluegrass or whatever he's doing live is really bad. The albums themselves can be decent, but a live setting just seems pretty shitty.
>tfw you'll never see Xasthur preform with Sunn 0)))
His vocals for sunn o))) live were really incredible.
that's some good shit my guy
I love how you can play kinda primitive bm riffs on the guitar and still get both lower and higher melodies going inside one riff. Hope you get what I mean.
I write black metal variations as a hobby. Kinda lazy to record vocals tho. Check this one out clyp.it
Mayhem
reminds me of taake. pretty nice, cheers
Going through Judas Iscariot's discography, Heaven in Flames is by far his magnum opus.
Jute Gyte
Where does one even start with Jute Gyte? His discography is impressively large.
Verdunkeln and Menace Ruine got brought up in the /metal/ thread.

It just made me wonder, have their been any unique approaches/releases in black metal this decade that haven't gotten much love from everyone? Anything that comes to you guys' mind? Not in high school anymore + metal not being 90% of what I listen to = being harder to really dig into the internet to find such stuff for me.
Liturgy - The Art Work
Just kidding, sort of.
Striborg has always been ignored, especially his newer output. But I feel like his latest black metal album from 2015 was interest, even if it's not as good as some of his classic albums.

Bolzer - Aura is also really good black/death metal.
Todesstoß is great, but /metal/ memed him out of existence.
The only patrician DSBM bands are Xasthur, Shining, When Mine Eyes Blacken and Lifelover
Do you not consider Leviathan DSBM or do you not consider Leviathan patrician?
This is not likely my favorite, it never gets old
*most likely
Sorry autocorrect is awful
Beast of an album.
Both.
