is that a new ricky gervais show

After 10 years of working at it, I'm finally able to lick my own elbow

didnt know charlie brooker had a band

They're pretty good. I like Guy's radio show, it's comfy as fuck.

I know the drummer (now ex) and he's a nice guy

I like that one song, I don't know the name of it, but you know which one I'm talking about.

I'm not that big of a fan, all their music begins to all sound the same after a while, which really I blame more on the style of music they do than the band it's self.
Like said, Guy's BBC radio show is pretty good though.

I really don't, maybe if I was british I would but they never had any huge hits over here.

that one that they played during the olympics

doves are better

Yeah, I like them a lot, the new album was nice, but not amazing like the rest of their work

Grounds for Divorce?

Doves are fantastic and mad underrated band, Lost Souls is a classic

Shame they're on hiatus now

who the fuck pays attention to the olympics anymore?

Oh, Elbow, Doves, Coldplay, Travis, Keane, that takes me back to my childhood, they were basically the bands that got me into music.

THROW YOUR CURTAINS WIDE

I like doves by they are very different sounding bands. Elbow is like if coldplay kept on going in the direction of their first albums and doves is like if coldplay kept going in the direction of their early EPs.

Take Radiohead, replace Thom Yorke with Peter Gabriel and all electonics with orchestral arrangments you got Elbow.

They are very close bands to each other, I mean they are both from Manchester and Guy Garvey sung backing vocals on some Doves songs and Jimi Goodwin did some on New York Morning.

that doesn't mean they sound the same, because they certainly don't. That's like saying the rolling stones are the same as the beatles because they became friends after their feud.

Elbow Album rankings

1 Asleep in the Back
Best song: Newborn
2 The Seldom Seen Kid
Best song: The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver
3 Cast of Thousands
Best song: Fugitive Motel
4 The Take Off and Landing of Everything
Best song: Real Life (Angel)
5 Leaders of the Free World
Best song: Forget Myself
6 Little Fictions
Best song: Little Fictions
7 Build a Rocket Boys
Best song: The Birds

They don't sound exactly the same, but they are very similar to each other in many ways, they are companion bands like Oceansize and Amplifier.

Reminder that this album won the Mercury Music Prize instead of In Rainbows

Well In Rainbows is not really one of Radiohead's best albums. (not that I'm saying it's bad, there is only one Radiohead album I honestly think is bad, and I won't say which one because people get very angry about my opinion it seems.)

Yes

HAHAHAHA

Fuck off

If Little Fictions is indicative of their style as a whole, no.
Some of it was enjoyable, but Magnificient grated like nothing else.

That was their weakest album, listen to this one

Even the group pic looks bland

Asleep in the Back is GOAT.

Britpop >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Post-britpop.

Parachutes is excellent though.

>not intentionally making people angry with your opinion

Why browser the internet if not for that?

>elbow. elbow, elbow, elbow. should i get an elbow CD? probably

Agree, but I still enjoy these albums

And the killing, and madmen, and an ipad, and everything

God, why won't everyone leave me alone?

He looks so much like Ricky Gervais it's almost disturbing.

is that doves?
