Round 2

Round 2.
>exist in any spatial dimension
>not watching the best show on tv rn
>pic related
What is wrong with you faggots?

Also mandatory tier tv shows:
>Deadwood
Yeah it's a western, get over it Cocksuckers, my favorite show of all time which says a lot as I am more of a sci-fi fag. Amazing character interaction dynamic. Believable brutality, well timed humor and focused character driven narratives. Well cast with natural performances by leads and main cast. 3 legit, cohesive seasons with great character arcs and high re-watch value, comfy show. Needed one more season,I think a movie is being talked about/made

>Rome
Paced really well, strong characters and character arcs. Can get through it quick as it's only two seasons and it doesn't feel rushed. Comfy environment, comfy show. They wrap it up in a satisfying way. Albeit a little sad, it is done so in a sentimental manner. Marc Antony is fucking awesome. Great actors, well executed production. High re-watch value again

>Fargo season 1 (haven't seen 2 yet, don't think they are connected)
Billy Bob Thornton's character and performance is the coolest bad guy on TV in a while, memorable. Martin Freeman is great as well and it's a unique and intriguing story

>Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
Fake historical account if magic was a real thing in 1800's whenever England. Great performances, based off a great book, comfy environment, comfy show. Book is better but I will forever think of the characters from book as the actors from the show now because performances, great casting, chemistry. Ends the same way the book does-ish

>Misfits
British comedy/drama about a bunch of screw ups that get super powers. Awesome and fun characters, great humor, fun/interesting story, creative ideas/themes, hot people, dope soundtrack. Later seasons get iffy as some shows do. Melon fucka!

>Peep Show
British cringe comedy. Foul, dry, hilarious. Can get over the top but not quite Workaholics level. Charming characters, hot women

TV is for fags.

checked

And bump

>The Expanse
Legit sci fi, has a "hard sci-fi" feel to it, good cgi/effects, (zero g stuff) cool universe building, ships, weapons, interesting politics altho story is a little scattered, maybe a lot scattered idk. Neat, real world believable future stuff. They don't go ham, they restrain and it works. Noticeable downside: it can take itself a little too seriously, lots of intense dialogue in low gruff voices. But if you like space shit don't miss. Tom Jane is great, he elevates it without having to carry it. I think only one season is out

Ok I'll agree with this.

>Gay Gay Gaybrams
>best show on TV

I feel no influence watching the show from Sjw Abrams

>Deadwood

Have you watched Justified? Olyphant's character is great. A bunch of bit parts for Deadwood alums too.

Yep, another one of my favorite shows. it bit more for normies but I still enjoyed it. I loved seeing Deadwood characters appear on the show.
>also the relationship between Raylan and Boyd. Boyd was a great bad guy

Walter goggins is awesome

Story's a bit scattered because they included a character from the 2nd book. It'll clear up once they get to the point where she actually has a reason to get screentime.

Books are great, but I think most casting changes made for the show (ages/physical appearance) are improvements. Bit sad that they toned down the language to fit TV, hope they don't tone down the gore later on.

I didn't realize it was based of books. That would make sense then. I mean it doesn't ever get convoluted but did seem a bit unfocused at times. I am still committed to watching it, still interested. My favorite recent sci fi probably

Hmm me either. Shit. Looks like I've got some catching up to do

it's pretty good but so far from the first episode I found it pretty boring, does it get better?

>Luther

Watch a lot of tv cop shows and shit, Idris Elba is fucking amazing, good plot, good story, good show.

is on my list. I'd probably watch anything with Idris Elba. Looking forward to him in the Dark Tower stuff.

> Missing True Detective

Obligatory

Ok then..
> Missing Black Mirror

I figured that was gonna be implied, like breaking bad. I liked season 1 a lot as it was such a character driven show.

I didn't hate season 2, I just didn't care about the crime/politics shit, and the characters weren't near as strong. Colin Farrell was great imo and I didn't hate Vince Vaughn, I wanted him to win.

Season 1 felt like it truly ended and wrapped up with conclusion. Season 2 just seemed to stop.

Definitely in my top 5 tv-series of all time.

>black mirror

Have it on my hd, got to get around to it. Heard good things about it, that and Orphan Black? Also Utopia. Seems like I see those titles get lumped together frequently

Agree on season 2. Should have been more focused on the characters. The zoning shit, the politician shit, why do I care?

Still liked a lot of it. I felt deflated after it ended though.

There's 5 books out, 6th incoming in december. Story told so far is about 2/3 of book 1. But in the TV series with hints they've been dropping about book 2 and book 5 events, it's possible that cut some filler and get to the good stuff quicker.

Season 1 of black mirror starts with the british prime minister fucking a pig.
Short while later came out the story about Cameron and the pig. Awesome "coincidence".
Also, they foretold The Trump, kind of.

Anyway, don't wait too long watching it. Else, it is not sci-fi anymore.

Misfits gets so fucking boring..
Would not recommend

But Season 2 had the death of Paul and Ray, and I don't think anything in season 1 ever came close to pulling my heart out and shitting on it like those two deaths did. Two tragic characters meeting unbelievably tragic ends.

roger roger, I'll get on it, you've motivated me to watch it. Been distracted with Westworld recently.

ok thanks for the info, I have been in need of something to read, I also have a thing about reading books and watching their companion tv/movie adaptations.

I think I stopped after Nathan left.

Same here. His replacement was ok but by then the show stayed to decline imo, and just got worse and worse.

Would still recommend first 2 to 3 seasons

I mean started to decline

I'd still recommend it, the first 2 seasons but I agree with you.

Too much hype for me to get into westworld also seems far too predictable

Just read the books first. They are truly well written, but book 1 got destroyed for me because I saw the TV show first.

>vince vaughn

I think he took too much shit for that role. I thought he did just fine and like you said you wanted him to win, so did I. Plus when he robbed the casino and stuff, that shit was dope.
>guess I was wrong, guess it was gonna be today
or however he said it

Also I did like "the kid" and thought what action there was, was really good. Could have used more though.

Also, Boardwalk Empire
>yeah it's a long haul
>can drag
>but when shit happens it is in a big fucking way with major consequences

Boardwalk empire was good, just couldn't commit. Michael Shannon was great though

i do not watch shit for plebs, not because i am fedora but because i simply dislike it

this +18 board, op

>british
>comedy
britbongs have faggot tier humour

kk. I have no problem shelving the tv series atm. I don't even know if they've started season 2 yet

Nah it's a matter of taste. It's just super dry and sarcastic for the most part.
>In the Loop with Peter Capadalily or wtf ever his name is

Is hilarious. Dry af, good set up and pay offs.

I like watching the man in black fuck shit up

checked

>Mr. Robot is my favorite show

But if I had to choose something else, this would be it. It can be a drag sometimes but Cilian Murphy and Sam Neill have an amazing dynamic.

anything with Michael Shannon is going to be a yes.

jesus I can barely look at that guy he is too good looking. I think I started it and when it started to slow down I got distracted. I'll give it another shot though
>inb4 faggot

The hype with Mr. Robot turned me way off but I am going to be getting to it. I can't ignore it just cause hype. I see it posted on Sup Forums a lot

Mr robot is good. Haven't seen the other but am familar

I'm a pretty big fan of hacker culture so I was watching it... ulgh... before it was cool. I just want season 3 to get here as fast as possible.

>Obligatory "faggot".but he really does look good
>I wouldn't blame you if you stopped watching after season 2 of PB

>lolumad
kys, underage b&

> I just want season 3 to get here as fast as possible

I'm feeling that way about westworld right now. Usually I wait then binge watch but I got sucked in now I'm counting down the days for each episode.

I think I finished the first season then lost touch. I do really like cillian murphy too he is great in just about everything
>also handsome af
>no homo

I watched the first episode. it's alright, but cowboy sci-fi feels like a weird combination. why on earth would they choose American frontier life over actually interesting time periods?

Pic saved, great episode.

Haven't seen Westworld, but I guess I gotta give it a try.

>Dexter
Old, but still a great show.

>Fargo, season 1 mostly
To all you guys who haven't seen Fargo (season 1) yet, go watch it! Also, it's tied to season 2, so you can also watch both and it somehow fits. I didn't like it as much as season 1 though.

It's an amusement park. In the future. Or at least we think. Either way it's for people to go vacationing so it's kind of implied it's in a futuristic society so it's an escapism/immersion thing.

>it's tied to season 2

Ok, I wasn't sure either. Season one was fucking great.

Checked and this

Saw first two episodes and loved it.
>dark, violent side of visitors desires
>robots becoming sentient
>hot naked robots
Reminds me of recent Battlestar Galactica series

The real question is, would you bang a synth?

It's so great, episode 4 is my favorite so far, some cool revelations, awesome/funny moments and action

In a heart beat. Dolores isn't my favorite but that swede snake chick is hot af

exist.

do nothing

>i enjoy it

im sure you convinced yourself of that.

The real question is why wouldn't you.

If you paid money to be there might as well, right?
>I'm dreading robots and Ai but this might be the only good use I can see for it.
