exit taxes have been anathema in economics because rather than invest money in long term, usually important projects that yield useful results dor later generations it incentivizes people to spend all their cash of short term shit that makes them happy, then gives a tiny bit of the remaining money that would help establish their desendants to the government so the government can spend that tiny bit extra. its actually super fucked up. A benefit of him is that he's not a career politician, but how much does he know about issues that will require his attention like foreign policy? Trumps healthcare policy is genius, make insurance equally competitive across all states instead of just within a given state which would force the insurance companies to reduce pricing but also would mean a lot of insurance companies struggling to survive (kind of like the people they've been refusing for years) .
His stance in immigration is stern but fair. Most of his main support comes from southern States and that's not due to the classic southern gentleman racist archetype but rather because they actually face the problems occuring on the border with mexico, which also has it's own wall at its southern point. Sure the no Muslims thing is ridiculous but he's going to have a huge staff actually looking into better betting from middle East and North African countries, he should probably include France, Germany and Sweden in there too.

The fed right now is fighting very poor economic activity with almost 0% loans to banks, even without the repeated rounds of quantitive easing this increases inflation. Inflation reduces the value of the dollar, which matters if you have money or are owed money. China is selling off the actually small percent of our total debt they own because they noticed its actual value is decreasing and they want to get the most bang for their buck they can. If anything we are screwing China right now, even as THEY are at 300% debt to GDP, thats right, 300%. Unfortunatly it also hurts americans with savings and in the long run our credit as lenders, we might be asked to pay more interest internationally if everyone thinks the value of the payment will deminish due to inflation.
The reason this isnt an immediate crises is because everyone on earth thinks america will be last country standing, even if no one else pays off their debts America will, hence we are the worlds "reserve currency" and they continue to rely on us as the safest of the safe bets. Trump actually genuinely did goof a little and wisely back peddled when he said we could restructure our debt, which we could but all this playing footsie with our debt by everyone involved puts pressure on the international community to find other safer reserve currencies, of which there are very few right now.
All this in mind, Ultimately I dont agree that the federal reserve is our top priority, however I do recognize their enormous power and would likely support a candidate who wished to audit, if not otherwise interfere with that cabal of technocrats.
