Depends on what you can spend. But Gison/Epiphone SG is as good as any to learn on. I wouldn't worry much about trim level of the instrument, just basic style and how to set it up.

Try this tool. It gives you all the notes on the fretboard in a given chord and you can make your own arpeggio shapes from it. Although be aware that once you get to chords with many notes in them you have to know on your own when to omit certain notes otherwise it ends up sounding like a scale run
Affinity Teles are great. Bridge pickup cuts through and great for lead.

How much did a Roland Jazz Chorus cost when it first came out? I read it became really popular in the 70s because it was more affordable than a tube amp and still produced a decent tone, but today they're in the same price range as a Vox AC-30 or a Fender Deluxe Reverb.

Put both knobs at noon, adjust trimpot til effect off and effect on are roughly the sane volume. Youll need a thin coin or a flat head screwdriver or something
