What?

What are some good guitar-related youtube channels?
Preferably some of the less popuar stuff that I haven't seen already

H A G S T R Ö M

theres very little good guitar content on youtube, just look for people who actually talk about the shit and aren't just youtube personalities

What i can do with this? clyp.it/j14nfxzm

delete it?

Can not anymore

should I get the Cantrell Superhawk G&L?

does anyone know if it's good?

Dave's world of fun stuff

Chicago music exchange and Reverb have great production and demos

Been going for a different tone recently, can I get some opinions?

clyp.it/4brtro4n

Every once in a while, everyone gets a win.

Emgtv if you wanna see players just shredding, pretty comfy

I love this guitar

>paid twice as much for current amp
>preferred the sound of my old one

Does anyone here own a Squier Mustang?

youtube.com/watch?v=G9Y5Dhzciyc

But is this even possible?

Who is the best meme guitarist and why is it Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein?

Jesse

Is that recent? God damn, danzig got fat and doyle got ripped

>tele
Vomit

I hope not

lol shitbird

they're pretty decent actually. The VM mustang is a solid guitar, maybe just change out the pickups

Aren't all guitarists meme guitarists?

Why would you buy a guitar that doesnt sound good to you? Lol, that shits retarded

the new offset series made in mexico mustangs are so much better than any of the squier stuff

the way it looks is most important, then they way it feels and plays, if that stuff checks out, its easy to put good quality pickups in and get a great sound

Just get an MIM mustang or import a japanese one for the price of buying the squier and replacing the shitty pickups

I'm looking to upgrade my gear, I'm think PRS core series, thoughts?

Discuss.

I want the olive green one but with a rosewood fretboard

>uncanny strat valley

at least post a REAL strat

Agufish seems like a pretty cool dude, and does a bunch of demos.

What do you mean? It has 24 frets, as it should.

I'm looking to buy a new guitar soon, and two of my options are the Matt Heafy Les Paul, or one of the 2017 Faded Studios. I really like the Heafy, but I feel like I would always want the gibson. Any thoughts?

Just get kippon

yes get it, i got the rampage a few years back and loved it

pixxylix or how ever you spell it, hes based af

They are ridiculously heavy, nearly 10lbs
It's why I didnt get one

well they are made for HEAVY METAL hsahahahhaha

Clean your instruments you cretin

I have the Vintage Modified and not that new pOs bullet Mustang

>10lbs
>a bad thing

Doyle is a strict vegan and health/fitness nut

The old adage that heavy guitars sound better isnt always true.
Try playing heavy guitars live for hours, its hell.
Once you start going north of like 8lbs you start to really feel every single ounce of that weight.
I started having back problems after playing a heavy les paul for years. I switched to an SG and the pain went away.

I had this Olive green one and the P90 Red one and they were worse than the Squier VM. Same issues with both, replace the pickups and the non traditional parts such as the hardtail and toggle switch just makes it a 2 pickup short scale Strat. Get the VM for $250 and drop an extra $50-100 on new pickups and you'll have a great sounding $350 traditional Mustang. You can also pay double and get a Jap one

You never owned any of those guitars though and you have no idea what you're talking about

I wouldn't buy one myself but hopefully this'll lead to some short scale maple necks being available on ebay

This. I have a les paul with modern weight relief and multiple people have told me that the light les pauls don't have the sustain of a full body les paul. Me and a buddy tested this once and mine lasted a good 5-10 seconds longer each time we held the same note.

Plus I probably won't need back surgery in 30 years.

Will you pay me for that?

r8 me boys

>the way it looks is most important

hello, I have two questions

1. what are some good pedals/pedal combinations to create weird sounds?
I'm just looking to create super fucked sounds

2. what are some good playing techniques to make weird sounds?

if you can answer either of these that would be great

And the tone?

It is
Tone is mostly psychological. The mental image of yourself holding and playing the insrument matters a lot.
You're gonna play better on a guitar that looks cool

looks like every guitarist is a narcissist Leo these days

I'm buying a case, what should i look for?

Play it before buying in case you dont like its tone and regret spending money

I'm sure if you played a full body LP and an LP with weight relief back to back you would be fully confident that whichever one you like better sounds the best.

I already have the guitar, i just want a new case, a hard one.

yes i understand dont go and regret the case

If people see you have a great looking or expensive guitar they'll expect more from you. If you go on stage with some ugly and cheap piece of shit but play AMAZING they'll be blown away even more easily.

((((((((((((You)))))))))

What would you put a Maple mustang neck on?

>implying normies know anything about guitars

a bonfire

>implying user plays in front of anyone other than the other bands on the bill that night it the middle of butt fuck nowhere

>maher

you best be trolling

dat steak n shake menu

Semi-hollows have ruined solidbodies for me. I never want to play any of the ones I own ,they don't feel like "complete" guitars anymore.

Anyone else know that feel?

Does the Jaguar really do JazzBass tones well or just half-asses more like a JazzBass-y Precision?

>weird sounds

Any multi fx rack mount gear is fun

>get a patch with delay hold
>play a sound
>turn on delay hold
>turn off briefly
>make another sound
>turn on again

gets pretty fucking weird. used to get some cool ministry type bullshit going with a digitech valvefx back in the day.

Also, you can get some strange things going with VST in a DAW.

What they have that solid guitars dont have?
Do solid guitars have anything that semihollows dont?

Im looking for a similar one but i want a FULL HOLLOW to get a more intense change in sound

No. What's the advantage? Other than looking like a grandpa i mean

What is delay hold

maher loves Clapton and you hate him

go figure

I never once played a hollow body electric guitar that I liked, I always feel like I'm in danger of breaking it if I hit it too hard

...

Delay has a setting called decay that affects how long the delay will trail in terms of milliseconds usually. Setting it up to never decay causes that sound to keep repeating at the specified interval continously until you turn the repeat hold off.

So you can literally add layer after layer of sounds to create weird bullshit.

look up Afterneath by EarthQuaker Devices

thanks user

The way they vibrate against your body is similar to an acoustic guitar, plus you do get that bit of air moving through the f-holes that's enough to make a difference in the experience of playing one. Depending on your pickups you might be able to pick up some of that acoustic quality. Plus they're really light. A 335 for example to me feels like a more sophisticated Les Paul. Every Les Paul i've played just feels like shit now...

Same goes for hollowobodies (but they're less versatile because of feedback issue)

thanks user

No worries bro. Used to get some spooky halloween shit blasting through a carvin x100b half stack to piss my parents neighbors off . Good times.

I like it a lot.

The first part made me think of this:

youtu.be/hD8trthqWZE

Aint the feedback a good thing for sustaining notes and effects?

>tfw you started a meme

sounds nice

Look at these necrophiliacs, fucking with a dead instrument

beep boop motherfucker

get back to your containment thread

instruments don't die, inspiration does

I like it on semi-hollows because the feedback isn't extreme and easily controllable. On a full hollowbody it'll basically react like an acoustic guitar played through the amp, the feedback is totally out of control. You can get away with using a thinline hollowbody like a casino though

Lately I am gassing hard for a Fender Strat. What's the difference in quality between a regular American and Custom Shop?

>beep boop
Lol
>missing the point

The inspiration people had to listen to guitar music is dead. Have fun recording your solo album that literally no one will ever hear.

What about an actual acoustic guitar with a soundhole PAF pickup? Would it sound even fuller?

The first run of the Jag bass was so much better than the current.

Try to find it. It had the JJ pickups and a J neck but it had the ability to run the pickups in series or parallel so you could do either J or P sounds.

The new jag bass is really just a P/J with a different body. Not really a new bass.

>TFW I sold my fire engine red first year jaguar bass and now they make that piece of junk instead.
