It's pretty bad yea but I think S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Around the Fur and Toxicity are all pretty good albums in their own right. They each come up with some decent riffs, tight songwriting and conjure up unique atmospheres beyond braindead meathead riffs of the rest of the stuff.

Korn's s/t has some artistic merit too unlike everything else they ever released, it's actually the most creative, innovative album there - my reservations towards it are just to me fucking hating Jonathan Davis' schtick. Ball Tongue is a fun ass song though.

Tool isn't nu-metal but you knew that already.

no
cuz there was buttrock
nu-metal has some interesting releases

>putting Around the Fur in the same chart as Mudvayne

bumpo

Hair metal was a lot worse.
At least nu-metal had about half a dozen of legitimately good albums.

nu metal was the last sincere music genre before being corrupted by buttrock and post-grunge elements

You have 5 seconds to explain what makes Korn and Linkin Park's instrumentation worse than Primus and Nine Inch Nails's instrumentation.

linkin park is bad

I asked about their instrumentation specifically.
