Mods are asleep. Post film charts.
>slacker
is this good?
>vertigo
my man. I still listen to its soundtrack when I'm driving
>is this good?
Guy you're responding to. And the answer is nah, not really. It's an arbitrary collection of contextless bullshit, some of it lends to "post-modern" interpretation. I latch onto it and consider it a historical collage in the vein of Finnegan's Wake or Lumpy Gravy because I simply have no life.
Vertigo is of course incredible. Those long focus technicolor shots of 1950s San Francisco give me chills.
I despise Vertigo with a passion, really don't see why people like Hitchcock in the first place.
You ever see Rope? The tension is ridiculously thin, the film starts with a murder, the body is disposed inside a chest, and for the next 90 minutes, the film never cuts away from the scene. So the death is left to linger in your mind.
Any other director would sanitize the death after 20 seconds max, with a cross-disolve and a cut to a different scene, Hitch-cock plays the audience like a fiddle, while the party guest philander around the body. A pretty genius and dark move for a 40's thriller.
I've seen Vertigo, Dial M, Psycho, Rear Window and NbNW. They're not bad, and they're interesting, can't say I ever felt any suspense though. Rope sounds interesting enough, I'll give him a last shot.
I haven't posted a chart here before so I'll probs get hate
Nothing particularly wrong with the albums you posted (except for Carly Rae Jepsen and the Smiths, seriously, no appeal whatsoever.) Some are even fantastic, Splendor and Misery is one my favorite experiences of the last 3 years.
Just don't be afraid to branch out, sample a genre or a scene you don't know much about yet.
>Nothing particularly wrong with the albums you posted
>literally my first day at Sup Forums indie&hip-hop taste
>proceeds to shit on the Smiths
You're far worse than the guy who posted the chart
Thanks?
