I'm a special ed TA at an elementary school. Ask me anything.

Why? Do you hate yourself?

The school I'm working at, I eventually want to be a full time classroom teacher there. This is a good way to get my foot in the door.

Does the school name start with a M?

No

Bump

I'm an IA with a cred. You have no path to becoming a teacher by TAing and your admins don't give a fuck who you are, where you came from or how long you sucked dick for it. Get your cred and follow the edjoin induction like everyone else does.

I personally know several teachers in my district, including a few at the school where I work, who started as TAs in the schools where they work. You're talking out your ass.

Any stories OP?

Have you read the saga of fats mcgee and his retard three?

ever say a retard with a boner

saw*

My first day, I escorted a student out to recess. He put his hands on another student, so I took him back to the SBS room and let the head teacher know what happened. She told the kid he would be losing some privileges as a result. The kid flips shit and starts having a tantrum. Yelling, screaming death threats, throwing chairs and flipping tables. Eventually runs out of the room and off campus. Police had to be called to contain him. His mom pulled him out of the district the next day.

i was in special ed do you think we are stupid

not stupid but retarded and inferior and not human

Holy fucking shit! Have any of them ever attacked you?

Haha, yeah, funny shit. I used to read a lot of tard stories, but working with special ed kids had taken a lot of the fun out of it.

ok

r u a nigger?

any of the parents enable the kids

Nah, I prefer not to think in such terms. As long as a kid tries hard and genuinely wants to improve, I really don't give a fuck how smart they are.

Thats unfortunate. Why has it done that? Pitty or just realising that that is the norm

niigers dont go to school dummie

No, not yet. I'm still in the process of getting certified for deescalation/containment procedures. So when a student gets violent, I usually just inform one of the regular special ed teachers.

How much do you earn?

Tard stories pls

Potato?

Well, some of them are obviously fake. Situations that would never happen in a real-life setting unless they went to really fucked up school (maybe they did, I don't know). The ones that are more believable and realistic are too fucking sad to be funny.

Pay is shit. Only $14 per hour, but I also have access to health insurance and other benefits.

Well the fake I agree are evidently fake. I can still laugh at them. Its not that I am generally a mean person I am just kinda twisted like that. I would still be kind and help them. Hell one of my friends has autism

Yeah. Usually the parents are cooperative and willing to assist the teachers however they can. But there are a few obvious enablers. In the story I posted above, the mother constantly battled with the special ed department and school admin over how we handled him. She wanted us to respond to tantrums by just giving him an iPad until he calmed down.

answer this

I hear you man. I guess it's all a matter of preference. For my part I've recently gotten into fluffy abuse threads. Fucked up I know but they're weirdly effective at taking the edge off.

Rekt here mate. I ate a sandwich while I watched a dude get beheaded

any fap in class

I remember one day I was working with these two fifth graders on their math. I was helping one while the other was taking an iPad break on a beanbag chair nearby. I look up and the kid with the iPad is rubbing his dick through his shorts in a pretty conspicuous manner. I just told him to stop and he did. That was that. I still have no idea what he was looking at on that iPad.

How many hours you work monthly?

Between this and my second job, it's around 170 hours a month.
