I prefer metal core. And to all of those asking metal core is more screaming and different guitar parts where as death metal is really low vibrato screaming metal with a general darker feel to it even though the subject can still be lighter.

Depends on what kind of metalcore? Are you talking about good metalcore like coalesce or garbage "metalcore" like black veil brides or whoever? Either way black metal wins for me because I enjoy the atmosphere it creates.
