He might've done something professionally if he'd started early, but it takes getting fucking rocked a couple times as an amateur to help you figure out if you have what it takes for the pros. That's how I found out I wasn't cut out to be a pro. I was 25-9 as an amateur boxer, never KO'd, but I had the shit beaten out of me enough times to realize I just didn't have the stones to be a champ.

He looks like a quick study, but this isn't enough time to go from having literally never fought before—ever—to taking on a pro. I'm sure the guy's a can, but he's still 2-0 with a lot of contact experience in training. CM has yet to take an actual punch.

It's a pity, because he seems like a nice enough dude.

Doesn't matter he's been training since he was 16. CM Punk is a skinny fat 38 year old coming off back surgery with ZERO previous experience in boxing, wrestling or jiu jitsu. Fact is that Gall is not a proven good fighter. Punk beating him doesn't expose the UFC, as Gall is only in the UFC in the first place in order to fight Punk.

i predict that quite a lot of people will watch the fight, ufc and punk will earn a lot of money no matter what happens. everything else is irrelevant.

Punk will win in an unimpressive fashion. He'll go on to fight maybe 1 or 2 more times before getting a "money fight" where win or lose he will retire and return to the WWE with high market value.
