Argentina was never rich nor developed.
It just got lucky during both world wars because eurofags were starving and their cunts were destroyed so they had no one else to buy grains and meat from.
It didn't happen in just Argentina, most of South America developed the most during that era (early 1900's until late 40's). Once Europe was rebuilt our economy started to decay, decay and decay.

The problem is inequality, south american countries had little economies back in the day, mostly subsistence agriculture. When the european countries realized in the late 19th century that they could import cheaper commodities from there the exporting businesses in latin america flourished and a lot of people got rich, but the majority of the population remained poor subsistance farmer. With all the trade the port cities became rich with good infrastructure while the rest of the country was left behind, people from the poorer rural areas started leaving for the port cities but the little industry there was wasn't enough to give jobs to this poor masses that ended living in shanty towns around the cities, this shanty towns became the center of poverty and crime that makes these countries so violent.

Amazon isn't supposed to be, the military it's pretty present there and don't let you go into certain places. Tourism here it's only Rio and northeast beaches, the rest it's only domestic tourism.

Anyway most of our cash comes from exporting Iron ores and soy anyway.

Argentina was very wealthy from 1880 to 1945. Thats when the european immigrants came.
Before that, it was one of the less important and less populated parts of the spanish empire.
Argentina begun to grow when reefer ships were invented and suddenly we could export meat to Europe.

we were passed by Spain in gdp per capita around 1970, by Portugal in the late 70s and South Korea in 1986.

also, another factor is that "white people" (mainly spanish and italian descended people) became middle class people with low fertility rates in a couple of generations, while the provinces of the north with non white majorities continued having 4,5,6,7 kids per women + immigration from neighbour countries.

Argentina probably had a majority of european descended population of about 6 or 7 decades, before demographic trends changed. you can see it in how different soccer players looked like in the 60s or 70s.
In a way, Argentina was the last white country and the first one to die, because the seed was not thrown in good soil. You cant build a european country on top of a latin american country.
