Wars are not won with soul. In many European countries, including the Netherlands, people also get drafted in a war and they will also fight.

Historically all Dutch wars have been won with money. You can rent entire foreign armies with money. Even in modern days Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have rented the American military. The Netherlands has the Nigerian military on it's payroll.

As a war takes longer than a month or so then the economic output and production will decide what's going to happen. Who can keep producing the arms. So a long term war is no option at all for Russia.
