I cook as a hobby, though my profession puts me in contact with a lot of chefs and other folks who do it for a living. I'm all about trying new food and sharing it with others.

Houki. Give cooking a shot sometime, doesn't gotta be fancy, but it should be something you want to look forward to eating afterwards too. A lot of it falls into place once you get familiar with basic techniques and how to use ingredients. One thing I find fascinating about world cuisine is seeing common elements in seemingly unrelated cuisines. I'm usually able to use that angle to get pickier relatives to try new stuff at family gatherings.
That's just how it works with a waifu, appeal for reasons you're not always sure of.
I do. any% Super Metroid and 16 star Super Mario 64 are the speedruns I prefer to watch, but I'll watch most.

You can never go wrong with breakfast, eggs are used in a ton of recipes, and there's plenty of non breakfast uses for things like bacon, potatoes, etc. It's not a bad idea to think about particular flavors or combinations that you know you enjoy, the things that are off-limits to you, and/or flavors that might be worth trying at some point.
Soups and stews are pretty good to start with too, you spend more time on waiting for them to finish than on the actual prep, a lot of which is cutting stuff into pieces, very basic prep, adding seasoning and broth/water, and then letting it sit. You won't need a meme-tier knife to make good soup and stew, just something that can cut halfway decent.
It makes you feel warm and cozy. Now I feel like having some hot tea.
