Atheists literally believe there was absolutely nothing, not even empty space, and then in a few billionths of a second all the mass and energy in the universe just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
It's so ridiculous when you sit down and think it through.
Christians literally believe that atheists literally believe there was absolutely nothing, not even empty space, and then in a few billionths of a second all the mass and energy in the universe just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
It's so ridiculous when you sit down and think it through.
Jonathan Jenkins
i don't believe or not believe in god
i just want to die
Logan Robinson
Atheists literally don't believe in gods.
Cosmology is independent of atheism.
Blake Morales
Um no. not what we think at all.
Gabriel Wright
stop making this thread everyday
Brody Nelson
everything is a bit ridiculous when you sit and think about it. Like this whole, gender dysphoria thing, that's just absolutely crazy. I'm telling you man, when are parents said we could be anything i bet a million bucks they never imagined that you could become a girl. haahha. Jokes on our parents we can.
Ethan Reed
But Atheists have sat down and thought it through
Asher Price
Why aren't you banned yet? I'm pretty sure you're a spammer.
Jayden Price
Fucking bait!!
David Cooper
Sebastian, say my name, say my name. When no one is around you, say baby I love you, why the sudden change?
Justin Gomez
>everything is a bit ridiculous when you sit and think about it This. Scientists aren't supposed to come up with answers that make sense, they're just supposed to come up with the most non-falsifiable answers.
Juan Wood
>Atheists literally believe
Couldn't even get past the first three words without failing.
If religion is the TV. Atheism is like pulling the plug.
Kevin Brown
If religion is a hair color. Atheism is baldness.
Brandon Ward
Its entirely possible that before the big bang, there was a super massive single galaxy where, everything being relative, everything was much larger. This galaxy would have always existed. Why does everyone think things needed to be created?
Jaxson Young
Cristfags literally believe god used magic to get all of his material to build a universe out of thin air. Creatards see nothing wrong with this.
Luke Rivera
OP are you spamming these threads all by yourself or are you like a christian youth club or something? Or are you getting at least payed for this by some christian organization?
I disagree with you on many levels I'm sure, but I really admire your determination and endurance in this endeavor of yours. Not that pissing in this ocean of piss that is Sup Forums will change anything, but I gotta hand it to you, you've been at it for years now with multiple threads daily if not every hour.. it's mind boggling really, how do you do it?
Nicholas Torres
>Creatards I imagine this as pants. Pants covered in cream.
Kevin Ross
If religions were television channels, Atheism would be turning off the TV.
Chase Sullivan
It's a troll, dude. Probably an atheist. The best people to troll are those who have an understanding of a subject because they actually care to respond and the troll gets fed more.
Jeremiah Campbell
If you've asked enough questions you'll know they has to be a "something". What is killing us is dogma.
i got this dvd set tonight and i saw them on sept 15.
Chase Williams

? You might have mistaken me for a different faggot.
Oliver Murphy
I assumed a troll because it was so incredibly trite and couldn't make it three words in.
Justin Long
Hey, you are back Nobody missed you, gtfo sage
Sebastian Moore
I was walking to a class last week and realized how ridiculous this is. Why are we still having to argue with adults that magic isn't real. I'm immersed in STEM right now and it just seems so childish.
Adam Jenkins
I would assume a troll too, weren't it for the fact that this shit get's posted every other hour, every day, for years now.. the sheer amount of hey atheist threads on here makes me believe it's some kind of christian organization, but hey I could be wrong, probably I am just getting trolled.
Xavier Thompson
How bad do you want it?
Lucas Gutierrez
Have you ever been in a Phylosophy class, user? I'm sincerely asking, no troll.
Jackson Young
let him know user. im sure he will listen to you
>non falsifiable thats their most BASIC job really, they need to becoming up with theories to which there is no reasonable alternative explanation which is why big bang/most cosmology/most modern physics is stupid. they jumped the gun thinking they found the end all be all in relativity, quantum, big bang when they are the worst theories ive ever seen. theres plenty of reasonable alternatives yet scientists parade them as if they mean something
i know its a christian meme/troll to emphasize the word theory. and then the atheists say a theory is more rigorous but the truth is modern theories are really weak.
so while religion is as useful as magical unicorns, they are correct that modern physics is unsatisfactory
no thats the most basic level of atheism.
real atheism is positive affirmation that no intelligent creation exists. it means atheists know there is no hint of evidence of design orr purpose inherent in the universe. that we are all cockroaches in a random, meaningless maze.
logically, things had to come from somewhere. but it does not matter either way. there is no hint of intelligence or purpose in our universe. whether all matter is eternal or it poofed out of nothibg is irrelevant
theres like 20 copycats
you should be pushing for an expansion on education and education reform then. lets give poor dumbfucks a chance to learn.
college philosophy is aids. a bunch of nihilist retards
Angel Morris
You mean philosophy? No but I might. As long as social justice bullshit hasn't affected it somehow. I got an email last week from my university notifying everyone of an upcoming diversity officer presentation.
Aaron Long
Pretty sure that's the exact definition of atheism. A lack of belief. Atheism is not the belief that God does not exist.
Hudson Smith
right on the most basic level to be an atheist is to admit all the existing religions suck. but to follow atheist logic to its conclusion is to realize that nothing in the universe acts intelligently. thst even our most intelligent, humans, act really dumb. an intelligent creator would not have fucked up that bad. theres also no sign of purpose. humans arent doing anything other than satisying human needs. theres no cosmological hole that we need to plug, just the holes weve created. theres no bigger purpose in what we do.
Joseph Kelly
Well I'm just clarifying the definition because if you don't, it becomes difficult in arguments against theists. They will claim you have faith in atheism. Which is saying you have faith in an absent set of beliefs. Which is retarded.
I think see where you're going. I certainly advocate criticism of religion. And with no limits. Religion is a mind virus. Humans are faliable. I love the work Christopher Hitchens did. He was very well articulated.
William Cook
Pray tell what is wrong with relativity and quantum theory? I use quantum theory daily and it works pretty astoundingly well as far as its predictive abilities go. The fact that you'e reading this at all is proof that both theories are pretty sound.
Jose Hughes
Big bang was something similar to what happens wjhen sperm-dude and lady-egg meet each others
Brayden Harris
yea hitchens the "anti theist" was the heart of being against religion.
what i mean is if you take hitchens arguments or epicurus or any well spoken atheist and apply them beyond religion to the real world, a meaningful truth about the nature of the universe is revealed.
ex) epicurus: if god is so great & intelligent, why is there bloodshed? -> no great god would create bloodshed->no god exists but if we apply the SAME observation of bloodshed to the real world, we deduce no intelligence has been built into the universe, religion or not.
i understand you are making a point against the religious, just pointing out you can take it further
Jackson Green
i told you. the future is predestined. your concept of "god" is wrong. we are in a recording. think about that.
Atheists just don't believe in a god, and most tend to look to science for their understanding of the world. Scientists think that the beginnings of what we understand as the universe started out like that, because that's what the evidence points to. We don't claim we're infallible, we adapt our understanding as new evidence points elsewhere. There's never been real evidence of the sort of god you're thinking of. Why would he carefully place all this evidence, inlaid into the very structure of the universe, if it was just to deceive us? WHY would he need to? To test faith? Why would a perfect god require faith? Why would a perfect god have a reason to create anything at all?
Ethan Williams
te fact im reading proves they are sound? what? i can read the bible but it is not sound
some quantum is fine. most of it even. the issue arises when we start getting into the "particles are conscious and know where to go" & "particles do two things at once" which are nonsensical. ae cant even see an electron, to conclusively say it is "random" or nondeterministic is absurd. no evidence for it.
its "predictive abilities" are useful bc predictions are deterministic. we got that correct.
ex) a true quantum computer would have a bit be 1 AND 0 at the same time. its nonsensical. no pc could ever work
relativity is really bad. they have the math close enough to be useful but the idea of space bending and obkects moving accordingly is redundant and useless. it doesnt actually explain gravity, just tells a story of what it could be. like i said, other reasonable theory could exist
ex) "time dilation muons" if a muon is a collection of particles, it acts as a school of fish at its core. so the fact that muons decay slower during movement can be explained by some of the "fish" being reallocated from decay into movement
James Cruz
Why are you so desperate to have ancient ideologies give your life purpose?
Atheists are realists first and foremost, we believe in the evidence that can be tested and seen.
Gods haven't been quantified in any sort of medium by any civilization, yet you take the Bibles words as absolute truth. The Bible is quite likely a novel made up of oral legends passed through various cultures, for all you know you could be following the ancient equivalent of Harry Potter.
Evolution, the big bang theory, and scientists that you mentioned have all presented observational evidence in one form or another to support their thoughts. It doesn't claim to be 100% accurate and infallible like religion does, but they serve to pry at the mysteries of the universe far more than any religion will.
Look user, the probability is that "god" was an group of highly advanced aliens that teraformed and genetically engineered on our planet, and then left to do the same to the trillions of other planets out there.
It's most likely that after we die we will never experience anything again, but I'd rather live in reality than delude myself with grandiose thoughts of divine providence and "humans are the best species in the universe" bullshit religious people always spout. [Po

I meant that you are using advanced nanotechnology (your computer or phone) that depends on us having incredibly exact measurements on scales where quantum mechanics matters. And our global communication ability relies on relativity. I get what you're saying though. I will say that those odd things like superpositioning aren't actually how they're commonly described. Schrodingers cat was just a thought experiment and Schrodingers conclusion was that the cat couldn't be alive and dead at the same time, it was just that we still needed to further our understanding to make sense of what the maths was telling us. I'm a chemist, and I use quantum modelling a lot. You're right, its not perfect but I'm so astounded as to what clever monkeys we are. We stood up in the savanna not too long ago, and now we know the mass of an electron, its spin, how to manipulate them to give off photons, use them to form never before seen in the universe molecules... the list goes on. But I personally think our understanding of statistical mechanics is even more intense and cool. Predicting randomness. We're in for an insane century ahead
