Another really good album

Another really good album

Dead as Dreams is the pinnacle of all metal imo

maybe if you're 12

desu if you're listening to any metal after 12 you're doing it wrong

burzum more like borezum lmoa

>No Emperor
>So many poor album choices
Sigh, at least most bands are worth checking out

>No Emperor
Emperor sucked after Anthems anyway.
>So many poor album choices
>

...

yeah but either Nightside or Anthems should be on there.

I'm not happy with this chart either

Nah

Yah

It's comfy

Good for you.

Nah

its so boring

Here the nigga shredder tier shit

Why nu-males always use words like "fun" and "comfy" when they talk about their shitty music?

Literally the best thing that's happened to black metal since ever

Good call. I'll post it.

Second best thing

The vocals ruin it

much appreciated

Hey, you got some good taste. OP, if you like more the DSBM type of music, here's my list:

Silencer
Psychonaut 4
Gris
Shining
Peste Noire (!!!)
Abyssic Hate
Lifelover
Xasthur

Also if you like NSBM:
Satanic Warmaster
Ad Hominem

Oh, also Batushka is fucking great.

Thanks for the compliment mate.
One thing though, Peste Noire hasn't really played anything close to DSBM since their debut. The 'problem' (not that that's a bad thing) with Peste Noire is that there is nothing that sounds like them that isn't straight up KPN worship.

yea that's why I said DSBM "type" of music. The vocals are quite close to DSBM, but indeed, there's nothing that sounds like PN. One thing is for sure, it's just not your average black metal. Bethlehem is also a nice recommendation btw. You got any more obscure type of music? Anything where the vocals are a bit more extreme, like with Silencer or whatever. I need music that is "weird" in some way I guess. Oh, Anaal Nathrakh is also so fucking nice! Saw them live a while ago (:

Yeah. I find it weird that Bethlehem get more recognition, since they are (imo) Silencer before Silencer started, and with better vocals.

But on to the recommendations.
>Brulvahnatu - Last Living Dream
>Gnaw Their Tongues - Eschatological Scatology, and the song 'Nihilism: Tied up and Burning'
>Noenum - they have a very short discography, so everything by them
The vocals aren't as insane as with for example Anaal Nathrakh, Silencer or Peste Noire, but they get the job done.

>Oh, Anaal Nathrakh is also so fucking nice! Saw them live a while ago (:
Fuck I wish I was you. I really fucking do. I love basically everything they have done and they are by far my favorite band.

Also, if you want some more weird vocals check out Woods of Infinity - Förlåt. It's not very good, but I have never heard any black metal with similar vocals (or lyrics).

Not black though

Thanks for the tips. I love Noenum btw! Forgot to mention them! Hmm, I prefer Silencer for some reason, but that's just personal preference I guess
Anaal Nathrakh was great, but they mostly played new shit, while I prefer the older stuff.

>I find it weird that Bethlehem get more recognition
Oh shit I'm sorry, that was supposed to be
>I find it weird that Bethlehem *don't* get more recognition

>they mostly played new shit, while I prefer the older stuff.
I can see why you would prefer the older material. The stuff isn't really that black metal sounding. I think they largely changed style around Passion for a much cleaner sound. Personally, I love basically everything they've done, and their last album was my AOTY.
