fuck yeah Rango thread

I dunno but definitely one of the best animations besides Fantastic Mr Fox

It's cartoon kino.

this

Actually, yeah. It probably is.

this was pretty comfy. I liked how they made the animals look dirty and realistic

we got rango'd

Reminder Johnny Depp got paid 50 MILLION for the role.

Probably. It's definitely Johnny Depp's last best role.

I can't be angry about that. He worked so well with Verbinksi.

It makes me sick that a movie like Finding Dory is probably going to make like a billion dollars and this one barely broke even.

This didn't have the family appeal, the characters looked horrid (intentionally mind you) and it was bleak, I loved it but it was never going to do as well as the Happy Fish Film 2

Definitely one of the best honestly.

abso-rutin-tootin-lutely

>SINKING DEEPER INTO THE GUACAMOLE OF HIS OWN DECEPTION
JAJAJA ARRIBA CABRON

>That rendition of Ride of the Valkyries played on Banjos and moonshine bottles

It sounded so fucking ominous, I loved it. Is there a full version anywhere?

I like how they filmed all the scenes and voice acting together in live action.

>nobody posting screencaps

...

Who /rattlesnakejake/ here?

fukken loled when the owls told lies all along.

HE DID IT WITH ONE BULLET

Not to mention America's Favorite Dyke™ was made the main star this time for a reason.

Rango and Pacific Rim are two of the best fun films out of Hollywood in ages.

3:10 to Yuma was good. I like Ben Foster.
Can't speak for true Grit though.
Would No Country For Old Men be considered a modern take on a Western?

no, I'd say True Grit was

Rango was enjoyable, but for the most part its really just a very by the numbers remake of Chinatown as a western. It only really gets interesting when it goes off the rails, like the part where he meets the spirit of the west.

This movie was fantastic.

Yes. It's a great movie. Underrated as fuck.

>no man can walk out on his own story

>Chinatown as a western
Holy shit I never realized how much that turtle was like Noah until now

nope

A fucking videogame

Literally nothing animated looks better than this(In b4 pixarFags say otherwise)

>That reference to the Hunchback from A Few Dollars More

10/10

3/10 I replied

This was pretty good senpai

True.

WE'VE BEEN RANGO'D

There will never be another ILM animated film because Disney will never let them take the prestige from Pixar and DAnimation.

Never.

ILM and Pixar were both founded by George Lucas. Pixar learnt a lot from ILM, and Disney learnt a lot from Pixar. Funny how things work out.

For some reason, they couldn't get Clint Eastwood.

I wanna snap his neck

I got you sempai

das it mane

Here's the scene- I still get chills at the start of it, when the bats first start zeroing in on the wagon.

One thing I thought was great that despite have a cast of "cute" animals all of them are ugly and threatening looking. Mangy looking cats and inbred rabbits. The art direction for the movie is most certainly the best in at least a decade, maybe more.

Agree, True Grit was the last really good western I've watched. Saw 3:10 to Yuma as well, the original was better imo.

This movie was fucking great.

I really like that movie and am glad Sup Forums does too

It's second after Big Money Rustlas.

I enjoyed Django Unchained a lot, though I wish the parts of it that felt more like a western (basically everything before they get to the plantation) was a larger portion of the movie

Best Animated Western Pastiche for sure.

Go back to your underage bullshit board.

no that'd probably be appaloosa

>spends entire thread unironically praising childrens cartoons
>calls others underage

>plays videogames past 14

Lmao

>for some reason

camera 2

My friend told me how amazing DU was, and I fucking hated it. It had terrible acting jobs by pretty much everybody outside of Leo and it was extremely boring.

>video games

wew lad

>doesn't just do whatever the fuck he wants without caring what others think

>vidyajuegos

Lmfao

But that's exactly what he's doing, he's ridiculing you for being a man child and he doesn't care if he hurts your feelings.

Fuck off Sup Forums.

Disney hired a lot of the talent from Pixar for their own studio, thats why they are so good now.

>realistic

>watches animated children's movies past 9

>plays videogames

Lmfao

>watches childrens movies

>consumes the gaming Jew

Lmfao

kek

open range, proposition, 310 to yuma, true grit and appaloosa are the best westerns of the 2000s famalam.
