Outside of the pocket, as long as the quarterback is "in a throwing stance," any late blow or blow to the head is a personal foul. Regardless of whether or not the QB has even thrown the ball. During those hits Cam had just thrown the ball and by rule was defenseless.

If he had tucked the ball down I would not have as much of a problem with the calls. I also don't have a problem with the play where Von ran into Cam H2H, it didn't look intentional.

Marshall's hit was the worst of all, but it will be interesting how the league disciplines him. If they go for a big fine or suspension, he and the NFLPA will bitch that the league is punishing him for his pregame protest
