bump

the only cd i ever bought was a russian bootleg david bowie compilation album.
It wasn't a bootleg of an already existing bowie album that bowie had released, the russians compiled their own shitty david bowie compilation in two parts.

Hey dumbass it's the last ten albums he bought, maybe he already has some of those you virgin.

>paying for digital copies of music

I actually agree paying for digital shit is dumb.

...

Lift Your Skinny Fists is now officially my most expensive album.

>albums I've purchased
>purchased
nice one user

if i had infinite money i would by cds just so that they could look nice on my shelf

Another 10 of my recent pickups.

I like CD better then Vinyl desu

Most of these are CDs and I excluded gifts (or else I'd have 2 lumineers albums and weird old folk albums). made me realize how rarely I buy physical copies of stuff.

>buying.
>music.

Why is it bad taste?

Dust - hard attack
Zuluzuluu - Whats's the Price?

Aphex Twin - Window Licker
Eels – Electro-Shock Blues
Galaxie 500 – today
The Louvin Brothers - Satan is Real
Massive Attack – No Protection
Mos Def & Talib Kweli – Black Star

The last ten albums I bought were seriously me getting the tapes for my album release done. Other than that don't know specifically when the last shit I bought was purchased, and don't feel like digging through the boxes of my roommates and my stuff. (real productive post I know, just being honest for the threads sake and a bump)

Nice DK and TBS

PUP is great

Tales from the punchbowl is pretty good

>me
I did my top 10 purchases oops.

>Buying physical copies of music in 2017
>Buying music in 2017

>music

LOL

Whats your favorite REM album?

Haven't listened to anything besides Life's Rich Pageant, it was a gift from my dad, but I really liked it, what should I listen to next?

...

I fuck pretty hard with Murmur and Reckoning. If you want to a listen to similar act I would recommend the replacements.

So where did the "kek paying for music in 20__ XD" meme start from? Or did a bunch of poorfags coin that back in the 90s? Earlier?

My favorite part of that meme is the implication that you're "above" anyone who wants to spend money on music. It's 2017. Of course everyone knows how to pirate and find leaks, you dumb fucks. Buying digital is silly though. I'll give you that.

Aside from being really enjoyable to own physical representations of something you're passionate about, it can also be pretty lucrative and self-sustaining. Been buying records since 2008 or so, and selling a lot of my highschool shit over the years to fund new interests in music. I don't have an appropriate mfw gif for selling 3 Brand New records for $1,000. Someone help me out here.

Thinking of dropping $180 Aus on the latest 7 lp fela kuti box set, should I do it?

I'm way too lazy to post pictures. Assuming strictly albums (and not singles/eps/demos):

Rankin / Bass - The Hobbit: The Complete Original Soundtrack (double LP with art book)
Power Trip - Nightmare Logic (on a bunch of different colors, but I'll count it as one)
Concealed Blade - Concealed Blade
Deathly Eye - Weird Tales of Terror
Carly Rae Jepsen - E•MO•TION: Side B (signed by the queen herself!)
Jaz - Word to the Jaz
Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock - It Takes Two
Venom - Black Metal (picture disc)
Dag Nasty - Can I Say

Oops. I can't count.

Meco - The Wizard of Oz

HMV lol

Signed Touche Amore, Jeff Rosenstock and TTNG

I feel we could be friends IRL

La dispute isn't even close to post hardcore

Alexisonfire is a fucking joke.

Not all music is readily available to download.

Which has nothing to do with what user said, as he wasn't replying to OP's post

where we at

nice

pretty good

good stuff dude

Personally after I spent about $100 on itunes I realized what a fucking joke it was that I was spending money on stuff I could easily pirate and torrent. Now I have almost 300 CDs after collecting for about 2 years.

can't torrent vinyl
can't torrent CDs
can't torrent cassettes

physical is superior

Wow, you sure changed my mind with those hot opinions you got there friend :^)

bump

I spent too much on vacation, but thank you!

Migos - Culture
Trapo - Shade Trees
Nef the Pharaoh - Nef the Pharaoh
Fetty Wap - Fetty Wap

Brotha Lynch Hung - Season of da Siccness

Did you meet the band or just buy a signed copy?

All the signed stuff I have. I met them. I could've gotten G?G! signed, and I want to see Jeff again and get Vacation and Worry signed as well.
